I think the biggest takeaway from this build is this. The local manufacturers involvement. This has helped them to improve and develop their products, just like Justin said to send out to the marketplace. Ive seen this truck in the flesh and yes it is great to look at. Well done to all involved.

We Need to get the 79 series into the US market, if anyone could make that happen that it would be you guys... LETS GO! We like our Tacoma, 4runner and Cruisers but the 79 would the ticket

Great car, but why winches on a 6x6 with that clearance? I applaud you for promoting airbags. Most overlanders still snuff at them w.o. understanding how great they actually are and how mature the airbag systems have become already.

You can import a 79 series no problem. You just can't drive it until it reaches 25 years old. Our emission laws in the US as well as safety standards won't allow a new 79 series on the road unfortunately.
@@w0nt0nj0n that's like saying, there's food in north korea too, you just have to grow it.... you cant have a 79 here that wont choke itself down without doing a full resto. I can build a building from lego's too, but they want the BRAND NEW 79 with financing options.
@@w0nt0nj0n actually if you're a tourist you can obtain special permits that let you drive it for the purpose of over landing and last a certain amount of time too. the black truck his talking about was in the US traveling for 6 to 12 months touring and going to shows in between.

He mentioned that it was roughly half a mil (aus) in the video. The ones you can buy now are cheaper as they dont have the level of options this one has. But if you have the money and time, they can build you the same rig. After they iron out the issues with clutch and tune as they are perfectonists.
500k was the development cost. they sell them for 250k AUD. they buy the car and give it to you like this.
Rounded figure is about $500k but would between $450k and $500k
Probably under $300k to build.
