Part of the Channel Islands, Sark is only about two and a half times the size of Monaco and has a population of around 500. There are no cars, straightforward tax laws and minimal government.
Thanks to its open border with the UK, Sark has its own rules but also works closely with the UK. And it is precisely this mixture of autonomy and cooperation that makes the island a fascinating place to live and work, especially for wealthy people.
German entrepreneur, journalist, author and investor Swen Lorenz, who travels between London, Sark and Guernsey, tells us about the alternative life on Sark.
    00:00 - Welcome, introduction, introduction
02:40 - Where is Sark and how can you imagine life there?
06:23 - Migrating to Sark: Who can live in Sark?
09:03 - More about living in Sark
11:20 - What are the challenges?

24:05 - What business opportunities does the neighboring island of Guernsey offer?

= About Perspektive Ausland (perspective abroad) =
Anyone who wants to move as an entrepreneur or freelancer from German-speaking countries to (tax-efficient) foreign countries or become a digital nomad has a lot of tax and legal questions.
Country selection, international tax law, setting up a company abroad, exit tax, visas, capital investments and asset protection - these are just some of the topics that you now have to deal with.
Perspektive Ausland (perspective abroad) is a German podcast from London that deals with exactly such questions. No matter what your motivation for moving abroad is - less taxes, more freedom or a higher quality of life - you've come to the right place.
