Trains at Swindon | 22/06/2023 | GWML | Sonia (SOS) 60 062 on Show

Swindon has four platforms, three through and one bay platform. The bay is mainly used for services to Westbury and beyond. Swindon sits on the Great Western Mainline between Didcot Parkway and Chippenham. All passenger services are currently operated by Great Western Railway. Destinations served include London, the South West, Wales, and the West of England.
This Swindon video covers a weekday and was filmed between 10am and ~12.40pm. I decided to film the bulk of my footage from the Eastern end of Platform Four to ensure the sun was behind me when filming and dapple shade from railings behind me to keep me out of the full sun in between trains. Train classes shown in the video are 60, 66, 387, 800, and 802.
*The Westbury service was not filmed.
Verdict: I really liked this station, plenty of action and sufficient variety to keep me interested. The platforms are spacious which means plenty of room to keep away from crowds, also access to refreshments and toilets.
