🔥 L Y R I C S 🤘 [Intro] Who do you wanna be? Who do you wanna be? Who do you wanna be? Who do you wanna be? [Verse 1] It never made much sense I never gave you what you need Grew a separate way most every day But I'm happy that you left And oh it hurt so good I took solace in regret And like half the time I'd weigh the crime like you left me your debt I never thought you would I never thought you'd pull away In exchange I was thrown into a better place [Pre-Chorus] (Who do you wanna be) But I lived to brеak you And I want to [Chorus] To clear your name We'rе both to blame I left you alone with no one I'm ashamed It's killing me 'cause things I said It's so hard to see the clearest in the dread [Verse 2] It never made much sense There was a wall you couldn't climb And you failed to see your self-esteem is something you define And all the good in you, was never my job here to find So I stayed away so you could take the steps to realize But I stayed It robbed us every single day the way we through the things we knew would break And now, through your hands I wake the way that I was meant to be With one who feeds me endlessly [Chorus] So now, to clear your name We're both to blame I left you alone with no one I'm ashamed It's killing me 'cause things I said It's so hard to see the clearest in the dread [Bridge] I could never put you before myself You remember the way it made you feel I was so low I couldn't pull this weight So you cut through, left me to face my shame
This is the kind of song that you don't give too much attention first time hearing, but, after some time, it grows in you the feelings that the song wants to represent to you. Right now, it's for me one of the best songs of the album. This part 01:31~01:56 is a masterpiece. Incredible melody and voice, really nice drums, great contrast between soft verse and intense chorus. There's no words to describe those lyrics. This is what I call art.
Wow he reminds me of Sam Carter from architects there scream is identical love it.amazing work I just hope the name of the album is not indicating this is there swan song.
This absolutely breaks my heart in half to hear the direction they've gone in. I hope Landon and the rest of the boys keep succeeding. I just can't get behind ANY of this album or Dispose because I'm here for the Metal sound with like one soft song on the album and now they feel like a gross pop band even though Landon in my opinion is the most well rounded and talented vocalist out there. I'll just have to stick with First Born and Could You Watch Your Children burn. Good luck fellas, I mean that. No hard feelings, just not with the new sound at all.
Respectable. If you could give a chance to really listen to the lyrics and emotion in it its heavy...just in a different way. Nice to see a comment about not liking the direction but not in a douchey way. Good on ya :)
Thank God that they changed their style. There's so much passion in their last albums. I also like heavy music, but I sincerely think that it would be wasting so much talent that they have with the actual style.
We need an acoustic version of this!
We STILL need an acoustic of this! 👀👀
Favorite Song on the Album!
The buildup to the chorus with the piano is so amazing
Masterpiece. This is a perfect song
🔥 L Y R I C S 🤘
[Intro]
Who do you wanna be?
Who do you wanna be?
Who do you wanna be?
Who do you wanna be?
[Verse 1]
It never made much sense
I never gave you what you need
Grew a separate way most every day
But I'm happy that you left
And oh it hurt so good
I took solace in regret
And like half the time I'd weigh the crime like you left me your debt
I never thought you would
I never thought you'd pull away
In exchange I was thrown into a better place
[Pre-Chorus]
(Who do you wanna be)
But I lived to brеak you
And I want to
[Chorus]
To clear your name
We'rе both to blame
I left you alone with no one
I'm ashamed
It's killing me 'cause things I said
It's so hard to see the clearest in the dread
[Verse 2]
It never made much sense
There was a wall you couldn't climb
And you failed to see your self-esteem is something you define
And all the good in you, was never my job here to find
So I stayed away so you could take the steps to realize
But I stayed
It robbed us every single day the way we through the things we knew would break
And now, through your hands
I wake the way that I was meant to be
With one who feeds me endlessly
[Chorus]
So now, to clear your name
We're both to blame
I left you alone with no one
I'm ashamed
It's killing me 'cause things I said
It's so hard to see the clearest in the dread
[Bridge]
I could never put you before myself
You remember the way it made you feel
I was so low I couldn't pull this weight
So you cut through, left me to face my shame
I heard “ I know it hurts so good”
Wow, I can’t wait to see these songs live
Every song so far has been gold.
