This was by far my favorite Capcom soundtrack. The music was so godlike and never used again. Literally legendary. Just a lost Marvel and Capcom artifact.
The soundtrack is unique and not remixed or arranged from previous games. The gameplay was okay but not as good as Marvel Vs Capcom in my opinion. Correction - the SF characters have brand new themes but some of the Marvel characters have their soundtrack from Marvel Super Heroes.

Later on, found out this was "kinda" the precursor, though it only had Street Fighter Capcom characters, and then found out there was another precursor called X-Men vs Street Fighter. Funny how the concept kept expanding who could be included, though sadly MvC took the spotlight away from this gem and it's amazing soundtrack. This game's roster feels like it exist within the fiction, I can buy Marvel heroes and Street fighters existing in the same world, whereas in MvC it just sorta feels like characters come from their own worlds because of how radically different the Capcom characters backstories are..

I remember being 7 years old playing this in 98' at a local movie theater in California, then again in 2002 while vacationing in Mexico i found this at a random plaza. Damn i miss those times........ P.S Omega Red's theme always got stuck in my head. I was obsessed with it as 13 year old, Dan's theme was always funny to me when it "kicked in" after you defeated a tough opponent. 😂 Hearing Dhalsim's theme now sounds timeless 👌
I think that's my favorite soundtrack of the MVC games...Buuuuuuut then again... MVC2.... Of and MVC 1... MVC3 got great music too... Those soundtracks man... they're gonna take you on a ride.
This game has amazing themes but they messed up just a few. Like Hulk, his mvc1 and mvc 3 version is much better.... However songs like Omega Red, Dan/Ryu, Spider Man etc. are amazing
so sick the FGC dumping on this game, the colors are awesome, the music is amazing. its sad how crappy marvel and capcom have become. nothing like walking into a arcade and hearing this. Now its just character packs and $100 costumes
The weakest theme among the early titles, in my opinion (Considering Marvel x Capcom, Marvel Super Heroes, Xmen Children of The Atom and Xmen vs Street Fighter) but still some very good ones, especially Wolverine (His best OST among all games, in my opinion).

Ps1 version didn't have tag which was awful. You could only do it if you had the same character on your team.
