This was a very special presentation...only Dick Clark with the close friendship and clout he had could reunite these guys...thx you Dick for years of Rock n Roll...
Glad I found this; didn't know the Raiders got together again with Dick Clark in the late 70's. Levin and Revere have passed on since; Levin much too young. Revere seemed to have continued his music career almost til the very end. I'm an old man who as a kid grew up on their sound.
Gosh dang, I remember those days. I saw Paul Revere at Disneyland probably the late 1970's. I watched all 3 shows they did. Didn't go on one ride since I had a front row seat and didn't want to lose it.
I used to watch them on “Where the Action is” whenever I could, and I had all of their albums. I loved the music, the constant energy and the levity that they always displayed. I really enjoyed this video! Ultimately, the Raiders deserve more respect. Dick Clark was a gem as well!
This is truly awesome! Paul Revere & the Raiders were my favorite band as a kid in the 60s and early 70s. This lineup was by far their best one. Somehow I missed this reunion show in 1979. The guys still looked great and performed great too. Thanks so much for sharing this!

Rest in peace, Paul! You filled up my teenage afternoons, and I had a few albums, and singles. Saw them twice live (at Yankee Stadium between a double header in 1965, and at Busch Gardens in Tampa in 2009). My favorite song is "Good Thing"!

I saw the revamped Raiders in the 80s and loved them!!! Would've loved to see them in the 60s!!!
I watched this when it was first broadcast. So glad you posted this. I was 15 and had started my first bakery job.
I STILL love them!! And have all my 45 & 33 1/3 records!
So do I. I still play them on my stereo I bought in 1975. They sound GREAT!!!
you could buy a nice used car for a hundred bucks back then, gas was only about 20 to 30 cents a Gallon , Love the Sixties ,
So BOSS!!!
S ome people say the RAIDERS were one of the most underated groups in the business. I think they were GREAT!!
And not in the Rock N' Roll Hall Of Fame!
@@vividwatch47 now thats fu#@ed up..
The thing was they were competing with the British invasion bands of that time.
Underrated =/= bad
WHAT AN ABSOLUTE SHAME THEY ARE NOT IN THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME! THERE ARE A LOT OF ABSOLUTE GARBAGE ACTS IN THE HALL ALREADY AND I DON'T GET IT!!!
Great guys. Great music.
Love them. Especially Fang
I ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ those outfits!!!!!!!
What an AWESOME group----to kick ass like that after 12 years shows what kind of talent they had!! Most underrated R&R group of all time---the fact that they still aren't in the R&R HOF shows what a worthless joke that organization is!!
I agree 120%!
Something to do with Jann Wenner (Rolling Stone), he is on the nominating committee for RRHOF.
Best show band ever! I got to work with them a lot at Harrahs Lake tahoe... great guys!
Paul Revere was very wealthy even before he started the band. Great guy. I think that's one thing that made his band successful. He didn't need the money, he was just having fun.
Dick Clark was such a visionary!!!!!
