I'd love to see you do a comic read, it's a very intriguing story and I can't reccomend it enough. Also I have to say, my favourite character has to be Calvin, aka freckle. I love his innocent and akward behavior coupled with his unhinged side

They have done some official dubs for the side comics. That might be a bit easier to get through.
Edit: The only anthropomorphic characters are cats. They’re basically a total swap for where any humans have been, so you won’t see any “normal” cats but all other animals should be the same.

I'm a Rocky girl. I love most of the characters, but Rocky is my heart.
You should definitely read the comics, they look like a lot - but they go really quickly. But warning: they aren't done, and there is so much we do not yet know.
Lackadaisy I have my hype level to the highest when the series release on TH-cam as I hope it goes well and the team get loads of audience to boost up the production with the cash flowing from the heavens 😄 as for the Plushy to pick for you, I would choose Rocky for you Vaggie. Also I believe the comic speaking won’t harm to try to hear you read it. 😌 as I been trying to read it and play in the background some 1920s music to make it feel cozy.

This is sure to be a great new show to join the ranks of other indie series, and as you had said while moving Moxxie aside it is definitely an altogether different cartoon to Helluva Boss. 😈 But alas, that hasn’t stopped them being compared to each other by complete idiots that have little to no actual respect for what the greater significance of animation creation is meant to be. ☹️

i would love love love to see a comic read! i've seen quite a few people react to the short film, but definitely not enough getting into the comic. it's one of the best stories I've read in a WHILE. don't worry and take your time reading! I'm sure we'd all love to come along for the ride!

Today marks 1 year I lost my dog Storm. Seeing that Lackadaisy is coming out with a season 1 + seeing my boy Rocky again, it just turned my sadness into pure joy! It makes me more happy that I'm not the only one excited.
I am so sorry for your loss, Thunderfox! I know how hard it can be to lose a dog, but I am sure you gave Storm the absolute best life they could have wished for! (My dog Woozle was very nearly called 'Storm' by the rescue shelter, because she was found in one). Take care, and yeah I really can't wait for season 1!!

It's really worth seeing.
Im sad only 5 episodes and apparently 10 minutes per episodes! Man sad they didn't go for the pilot runtime of 25 minutes
I was bummed about that at first too, but after giving it some thought I think they might be going for a quality over quantity approach for their first season. They don't want to bite off more than they can chew and setting limits for themselves is a good way to make sure that doesn't happen. I'll be absolutely fine with it if its animated as beautifully as the pilot was.
For the record, Lackadaisy isn't the longest webcomic out there. They have to pace themselves if they're doing an adaptation of it, because if they did 5, 8 or 10 20-minute episodes for season 1, they'd probably be able to catch up to the latest page. And then what would they do? In a recent interview on the Cartoon Universe youtube channel, the Lackadaisy team said that for season 1, they're going to be adapting the entirety of the comic's volume 1, which encompasses about 50 or so pages. But it won't be a straight adaptation- they're going to be adding more in and changing some things around so that it works better as an animation. I've read the comic, and to me that sounds like a reasonable stopping point for a first season (maybe go a few pages into volume 2 but if you read the comic you'll see why). We'll see how they handle it, but I have faith that the team behind Lackadaisy knows what they're doing and chose that runtime for a reason. I'd honestly rather the show be 10 minutes of great animation and story, to-the-point and concisely directed than have it spend 10 minutes giving us actual story and the other 10 just screwing around per episode.
But fear not, because if the first season is successful then they'll certainly do a season 2, adapting volume 2 with it. And I can tell you that Volume 2 is definitely longer than volume 1, and because of this season 2 will most likely be more episodes, or the same number of episodes but longer. And volume 3 will probably end up being of similar length. I really think it all depends on what section of the story they're working with. Also, remember that they've almost reached the stretch goal on the campaign for 3 mini-episodes, so there's still more to come even with those 5 regular episodes.
Oooh this is exciting! I loved the pilot too. Discovered it through your channel actually. I find Mitzi really intruiging. Can't wait to see more of her story arch. And how amazing those plushies are!! Rocky looks awesome. I'm very interested in you exploring the comics as well. Love your enthousiasm so much! Elevates the overall experience and joy of diving into this universe.
