    The mechanics definitely makes the game unpredictable and add the high damage that all characters have access to along with the ease of execution, yeah anyone can beat anyone once you have some command on the character. High damage should be accessed through execution, it can't just be that easy, I think.

    I thought I was trippin, but I been feelin the same way. Too much cheap random shit in this game that makes me now wanna play this game. That perfect parry is hella broken tho. I’m glad I wasn’t trippin

      I agree 1000%. That's because capcom is focusing too much catering to the casuals. I really wish they didn't add so much randomness. A balance is needed.

    NGL, I enjoy the randomness of SF6 because the guesses makes it feels like a real fight. I don't know what kind of punch or kick someone is gonna throw in a real fight or what angle it's coming from, so in the end, I'ma wind up using my best guess to either dodge, block, or parry it. I will admit, I don't like how Drive Rush pauses a frame when it's activated. I think that can be tweaked, but overall, a good fighting game should be a guessing game in my humble opinion.

      I always thought guessing was part of fighting games too. It's the whole "rock,paper,scissors" type of gameplay that makes fighting games. Guess the mix up. It would be interesting to see grapplers and projectile characters to actually become top tier in SF. I could be wrong but I always get the sense that rush down characters are favored with Street Fighter. Maybe minimize the damage from attacks so you're not dead so quickly by certain characters.

      outsell means it made more money than the last one....
      if a majority of purchases are on discount or sales then this game isnt profitable at all compared to previous titles

      In all SFV sold 10 mil+ copies of the game. If sf6 makes more money that SFV this cycle will continue

    He benefitted for those same things and won. Now it’s issue? Blanka was a problem however…fighting games are suppose to have you guessing. They only complain when they no longer benefit for the exploits. It’s not like years ago when people didn’t get better. People have gotten better and they actually train now.

      @ all fighting games and games in general have “gimmicks” so it’s confusing when they say this. Even boxing has “gimmicks” so what’s the issue. No two marital art disciplines are the same. And they have their own “gimmicks” secret art, forbidden art, or certain techniques that are advantageous. Brazilian Jujitsu. Point is everyone is playing the same game. He wins it’s ok. When he loses it’s a problem. Stop it.

    SFII sold 30.7 million
    SFIV sold 10.5 Million
    SFV sold 7 million
    SFV is the third best selling SF game despite the insane covid boost it got since it was sitting right at 3 million before covid. Tekken 7 also sold about 11 million total thanks to covid. Really if capcom should have taken any lesson it should have been to go back to the way SFIV was in terms of consistency because that game sold so much more despite not having a pandemic boost and also was released when no other big fighting games were successful or being made.

      Where did you get sf4 selling 10m+? If they broke 10m you would have for sure heard about it. As for sfv, it wasn’t covid that boosted it at all. It gained about 1m-2m sales per year during its entire life cycle. By the time Covid hit the game was practically on the way out. They added an extra season of DLC because of Covid and I promise you that didn’t boost sales by a significant amount. Sf4 re released 2 (3 if you count 3ds) times. SFV was also not available on Xbox or a Nintendo console.
      The game was just as full as bs as sf6 but nostalgia glasses effect everyone including me sometimes I suppose.
      And for what it’s worth. Tekken 7 sold 11m because it was a good game, not “covid boost” whatever tf that means.

      SF5 sold "on sale" from month one and lived on DLC like a DOA-game. It sold far less, coming off of the high of USF4, which was still increasing its numbers in competition, 8 years later. Meanwhile, SF5 lost half of its competitors in a year.
      Dumbing down the games didn't increase overall sales, but it did increase the casual audience that will pay to dress up their avatars. It sent competitive players to test out other fighting game IPs and the DOA-heads that loved to play dress up came over to SF5. SF5 traded more mature players for more immature players that were easy to nickel and dime. DOA sold a lot of skins but no cares or respects it as a game in the greater scheme of things, much like SF5.
      You're correct in that a street fighter game that actually tries to be street fighter, rather than re-inventing the wheel, sells more, overall, and to more generations of players.
      The SF5 crew didn't know what they were doing which is why they dropped the game with 8 frames of input delay like a 3d game where ppl count frames because the game isn't actually responsive. Meanwhile, to this day, you don't need to know frames on most of the series because everything is instantly responsive. You can "feel" when you're done blocking and can react. It's not a silly canned response like recognizing a move and knowing you have so many frames to counter. lol They wanted to trade skill for knowledge. They can keep players more even, artificially, by merely updating frames to relearn whereas skill and timing have a limit for each individual and that never changed in prior games just due to an upgrade.
      However, dumbing down games keeps more people playing when less competent players feel more competent. lol It's silly but, the participation-trophy-crowd took the reigns with SF5. That's why it's still considered the worst SF offerings, ever, to this day.

    The game is fun, that's it. If it's not fun people won't buy it. If people aren't buying it devs can't pay their bills. If anything the game is getting more boring each time they nerf the entire roster to propel ken. I only have those magical words people say to him, git gud.

    I’m not going to say that sf6 is completely bad. I personally do not like the design of being punished for being aggressive or your opponent is on block (Drive Guage). The meter be being eaten by DR is too aggressive for some players. I also don’t like how trading hits works as it seems inconsistent (when both players trade HP or MK at the same time, the mechanics seems to give random advantages to either one for a follow up and it’s really a guessing game). Perfect parry is also guesswork.

      I hear you but its been the same stuff since the game dropped.
      Drive Rush cancels inputs.
      Its too fast.
      Grab is a full guessing game
      Perfect parry on a normal is random and leads to an advantageous punish.
      Imo, you shouldn't get a perfect parry while you're also blocking. and drive rush shouldn't be cancelable into anything aside from a normal.
      I watched a Bison drive rush into a Ken who did EX DP and the bison was able to block frame perfect. The action should be commited to.
      Granblue has a Drive Rush equivalent and it works hella better in that game where Player2 doesn't feel like its beyond oppressive

    I disagree, the game isn't unbalanced because of the mechanics, all the drive rush and parry mechanics are given equally to the cast. To balance it further they could let you build it up from zero instead of give both players 2 or 3 bars to start with not it's not imbalanced it's actually fair. Some characters will have better advantages due to their buttons but welcome to every fighting game ever. The parry should also not be able to be held so long either. That's another fix.

      Actually they aren't entirely equal. Drive rush is different for every character but it's homogenized on execution. Vega(M.Bison) has a hard momentum based drive rush right behind juri and Deejay just outclassed both of them.
      Sf6 is just suffering from the same issues 3-6 is. Deep homogenized gameplay with no way to make check able jank, nor making every character use "universal" mechanics in a unique way.
      Fighting games also need to stop allowing every character to have the best move in the game because if everyone is super. . . . Then no will be at all.

      I know the speeds are different but even if they were uniform an attack would be the best there will always be a best something. Same with the special attacks, someone will always have the best one in the game it's inevitable. The cost of the utility is the same the advantage is generally the same the problem again will come down to a select few who do tiny things a bit better. I also say balanced knowing no fighting game ever can or will be. Some characters will inevitably rise to the top be it mechanic usage or moves etc

    Let's not even get into the hitbox animations. It makes no sense that Gief can grab me from 3ft away. The animations and hitbox makes no sense.

    Sorry, but randomness doesn't favor ANYONE. If there is a technique a rookie can do, you can also. If there is an OP character, you can use them also. End of the day, we all need to adapt.
    ALso, majority of tournaments I watch, it's usually the usual characters, Punk, ANgryBird, Kawano, etc etc etc etc winning. It's not rookies and beginners.

      But honestly we see a lot more of them getting knocked off unexpectedly now but more importantly umong the most skilled players it becomes who can be the most random successfully
