      You never know what's behind the camera! Don't believe everything you see in only a video and please don't underrate yourself or your life due to youtube videos. Mostly videos like that need a lot of time for preparation and no life is always organized like it's shown in the video.

    for people new to food prepping be aware lots of food changes texture once frozen. pasta, fresh veges, cooked red meat all go mushy and horrible. my suggestion would be prepping for only 2 days and keeping the food refrigerated, which has less of a texture change. when I started food prep I pretty much binned a weeks worth of food because of how gross it was after being frozen. start slow and see what works best :)

      I hope you can answer this: I've got plans for working and studying at the same time. I will be out of my house from 7am to 9pm Classes start at 8:30 but i've got about 1.5 hour to get there and finishes at 12pm then i've got until 3pm to get to my work but i can't get back home for lunch due to the time travel which would take out time for studying so i plan to do it in my work place as i wait to the time to start working. So my lunch would be out of the fridge for like 5 hours. My question is how can i store my lunch so it doesn't get spoiled? Are there specifics food that are prone to get bad with that time without proper refrigeration?

    My tip for squashinng bananas is to squeeze them unpealed first, so they become soft. After that, peal off and it would be much more easier to squash it using fork. Love your videos, especially minimalism series!

    my boyfriend and I are really slack in the cooking before hand department and honestly it is having a huge toll on our health. he started a new job is gathering a lot of weight from the stress so these videos are really helpful in that i will pay more attention to what i can make to make sure we're well nourished :)

    Thank you so much for this! I'd love to see you do more. I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but I am trying to cut back on the amount of meat I eat (because I eat more of that than anything else) while still having filling, flavorful meals. This was really helpful. And I love your containers! Where did you get them, if you don't mind me asking?

    This has to be the easiest and best meal prep video I have seen. All stuff I would eat, things with flavor and just so so simple. Thank you for your amazing ideas! I haven't looked at your other food videos, so my question may get answered after I go on a hunt. But, do you eat the same foods weekly? Or switch it up?

      Thankyou! I try to mix it up a lot. It's good to eat a variety of foods, for your health and also because it's easier to stay on track when you're not bored of what you're eating :)

    I tried your museli breakfast. So good I was mainframe it the night before and I ate half of it before I could put it in the fridge. I could eat that all day.I made it with siggis coconut yogurt shredded coconut, I ate it with out the strawberries I bought for it.was hard finding coconut creamed,found it at whole foods.its really good. Thank you for such delicious healthy. And simple ingredients.I tried a clean eating approach before and lost weight.I followed Tosca Reno's book clean eating.

    You should bloom your spices in some oil before you add the chickpeas( cook onions in oil and spices). The flavor will be a lot more pronounced.

    Hi Rachel, love your videos! Just wanted to let you know that you can soften bananas by popping them into the microwave for 10-20 seconds and they become easier to mush. I do this all the time for my oatmeal bakes :)

    I have never used coconut milk on my chickpea curry, does it taste sweeter? When I am making it I add tomatoes and water and similar spices like yours. But, I saute onion beforehand with little bit of olive oil and add small clove of crushed garlic it brings out the flavour. Canned chickpeas is so easy to use than the dried chickpeas, canned one get mushy easily gives the sauce little thicker texture whereas dried ones you have to soak it overnight and takes longer to cook. Best way to cook will be pressure cooker as it speeds the process. Wait, I am going all out here hahaha sorry for the long comment.

    I made the protein bars minus the chia seeds coz I had none but they were awesome, also tried the curry as well but sauteed the onion and spices first and that's amazing!

    The meals all look really good. I've seen you use coconut cream in quite a few of your recipes. Can you use coconut milk (as in canned coconut milk) or is the coconut cream quite different? It looks similar but I'm not sure what the difference is. Over here I could only find very small cans of coconut cream.

      The consistently between the two. Coconut cream rich, creamy, thick similar to thick cream which is made from simmering 4 parts shredded coconut in 1 part water. Whereas coconut milk is more watery liquid consistency made of 1 part shredded coconut 1 part water. It's usually the basis for most Thai curries. I guess it depends how you like your curries etc...

      Victoria S Books I have had coconut milk go bad about a week or two after opening and putting it in a sealed container in my fridge. I have made some of Rachel's recipes with coconut milk and then added creamed coconut (which can be mixed with water to make coconut milk / coconut cream or added as it is to thicken a dish) to make the consistency I like (so it has a good sauce but not too thin) and have used it over a couple of days without it going bad. I think so long as you eat it within a few days of making it there shouldn't be a problem.

    To be honest I find that a lot of these types of videos don't really bring a lot of new information/ideas to me, but yours was something else! I got some good ideas for stuff to do for meal prep to mix things up a bit. Loved the simple recipe for those bars, I will definitely be trying to make something similar! Subbed :-)
