I spend a lot of time in SU and LO ensuring that the Smart Woodshop Plans have a consistent look for continuity. I realize the need to slow down and create some templates. Thanks, Ron.
Thanks Aaron, I use this a lot for my woodwork designs and I also use Sketchup templates to ensure my scenes are the names the same as well because of this.
Been using elevation templates for a long time now. I just name the SU scenes the same as the LO scenes and even if the next project is bigger or smaller, it's easy to adjust. Both SU file and LO file have the settings I generally want to use, including shadows for each elevation. Saves so much work with every scene already set to my styles. Usually the page and sheet setup work for each project as well. However to get the final document sheet to follow the model, in the shortest time is helpful.
I hope you guys are following Martijn Doolaard! Episode #7 24:55 for instance. He's probably sold more copies worldwide of Sketchup than most folks. And modeling irregular shapes...
Thank you , I should use more templates 🙂 but I see this more as a top down approach , I always wondered why layout doesn't automatically make pages based on the number of scenes when you select " send to layout" in sketchup ?
I suggest this kind of template is coming with new release of SketchUp long time ago but never happened, it can leverage the use of SketchUp and LayOut. Every new release always come with same templates that not linked to Layout.
4:44 What kind of autotext is that of the order he pasted the drawings titles? Is it only available in the 2023 version of LayOut? This would help me a lot. Thanks in advance
to delete: In LayOut, go to Preferences/Folders and youc an see the file path to where they are saved. Open that in your Explorer (PC)/Finder (mac) and delete the ones you don't need.
Hi Aaron..... You've probably heard this question before, but will Sketchup create a working platform for Android, like they have on Ipad? Thanks in advance and have a great day 🙂!

Perfect. My building envelope detail drawings all have 2d, inside view and outside view. Great explanation.

Can you please make a video on how to delete custom scrapbooks? I cannot find this answer anywhere. Would be greatly appreciated. =)
