The jazz/blues sound in the beginning was always an interesting choice, but the switch up brings it to life, and her voice at the end during the climax is jus so raw and really drives the song home. Fantastic cover
The beginning isn't all that, but I really like the song once all the instruments come in around 1:30. It seems like she's going for a different mood than Coldplay is, and that's what I like about her version.
@NoScopeMuch No it does not need the piano. It sounds very good the way it is, but the audio quality isn't the best. The way she changed the vocals makes the song different too (in a good way).

this is the best version of Natasha Bedingfields cover in my opinion.
I Finally found the exact version I was looking for!! Thanks!
I love this song , its so sad and her voice is amazing!
I love her. I could listen to her all day
amazing cover! natasha brings such emotion to an incredibly beautiful song!
The live video of this version with Natasha its the Best.

looked this up after watching idol!
Yah i'm not the only one who had to come look this up after my fav Katelyn Epperly sang this and Simon said this was similar
i like her other version of this, the "stripped" one. she really enhanced the song

Simon: Have you heard Natasha Bedingfields version of this?
Idol Contestant: No?
Me: Me neither! TH-camE HERE I COME!
coldplay's version is kinda unbeatable. they're genious. though she did a great job
@r0g3r sorry hun long to reply but yep i agree I really aint a coldplay fanatic. This is great
As the most recent posts have said... I came because Simon mentioned it. :) BUT.... I think Katelyn sang it better too.
Where can I get this
song? The live one is
on itunes but I want this
version.
Radio 1 live lounge CD
I only like this song because of this version to be honest lol..... I'm not a big Coldplay fan.... not my style.
Nobody said it was easy
This is truely, I think, better version of the tune!. Who are Coldplay¿lol just joking
simon cowell sent me!
LOL need i say more? american idol sent.
for me i like more of the coldplay version
Stacey Solomon is the BEST!!!
Like everyone else, I came because Simon mentioned it. Katelyn sang it much better.
bleurgh
Way better than Avril Lavigne's version!
I think Katelyn was better xD like everyone said: SIMON SENT ME! :D
It's not so heavy and emotionally like it was with coldplay. here it sounds too jazzy.
whats up with the "just listen"???????? at least have lyrics or something!
The original Coldplay version is the BEST! ALL other versions sucks!
Katelyns was better..Simon sent me(:
Ugh. The piano and voice don't compliment eachother at all. They're like two different songs. Coldplay's version forever. (:
she ruined the song with this version
She ruined the depth of the song.
i dont like the version of her..
playing with the melody for this song--FAIL
no one can be compared to coldplay... this does not sound good at all
bad...
HATE hate hate it.
This is a horrible cover.
