So the story of the Skoda is, a friend of ours who like BL cars, owns it. He had it in the car park for most of the show and at the end we asked him to bring it in for a photo of us with our cars. He was nervous about the reception of being it on, we told him it would be fine. Great to see you there and that wonder 45!

Oi Rick! "I don't know what this is, sorry!" Some car expert you are! I'm kidding you just a little, but that is our Bond Equipe 2+2 GT, built on a Triumph Herald chassis, with a Spitfire 1147cc engine and bodywork including the Herald doors and windscreen scuttle by Bond cars Ltd of Preston in full association and agreement with Triumph, to the point you could order one through a Triumph dealership worldwide, so a genuine BMC and British Leyland era rarity. Or as Sarah Crabtree said, "I like your Bond Equipe" when we parked it up next to the Allegro Equipe at the end of the day, so she knew.... Nice videos, and the rallies at MK Museum are lovely affairs with smashing cars and owners in a brilliant setting. Later 2 litre Equipes were bulit on Vitesse running gear and looked quite different, but the unfinished Mk3 prototype bears an uncanny resemblance to the Morris Marina Coupe, which it pre-dated by a year!

What a pleasant group of people at a like minded show, congratulations on the award. I'd love a 400 tourer automatic but wouldn't know where to start looking for a low mileage clean one.
BL people are lovely! We’re all used to the nasty Ford big boys showing off in their Escorts and Sierras and picking on us so we seek solace together 😂

Nice walk round, you don’t see many Austin 1300 estates, Love the Maxi Maxi’s & you can’t beat a Reynard Allegro

I thought Fords were bad with the prices but think I would have a 400 over a Escort and that's coming from a Ford enthusiast!

My favourite Allegro had to be the metallic green series 3.

I was going to say that Montego Estate must have a huge mileage on it, sure I have seen that at this event or other BL shows like Gaydon.

Again breaking this into two parts but loving the show so far, think the police metro/100 is one of the Bill beat cars.

Lovely to see a Wolsley 1800, there is one round the corner from my parents and the owner has had it over 30 years and I am nearly 40!!

well done rick although i must say i am very envious of you driving josephs 45,but just as you were leaving the ground an awful thought entered my head,how could so many bl vehicles plus the skoda and i love skodas.leave the ground without the help of rails lol

800's were my thing and of course SD1's.
The 600 never really caught my attention, although it's a very well put together car.

I like the ITALS and the late Marinas as there were a few of these in regular use in my childhood days.
Looking forwards to the next vids inc your drive of Mr Lloyds V6 45.
Onto the point of 45’s, 25’s, 75’s there were some late ones that made it to 06 plate.
I’ve never seen an 06 but have seen 55’s 👍

Nice video Rick. It was great to meet you and Heather at the show, my MGF is featured at 25:20 as I was coming into the show and again at 27:46 after we had parked up. Simon, my son was sitting in the passenger seat and will be chuffed that he features on TH-cam.

Something I heard in the 80’s never been said since…..the Mini was changed on the front to be called a Clubman then picturing that , we then have the Maxi very similar front, idea being the small car is “Mini” the larger version being “Maxi” 🤔 would you know if that is true..?
