Can I ask,, what paints you used for the dirty effect,? I use 'Mr weathering colours' enamel filter paints,, they're really good to work with and have a good selection of colours, on these navy aircraft, I first use white, for Faded paint effect, then ground brown and multi black for the dirt marks,,last, I put a few spots of blue on the stabilisers and one or two places round the forward fuselage,,,the blue is strong so more enamel thinner is recommended when blending in,,,,don't overdo it. If you don't use Mr weathering colours, I highly recommend them. What's your next build going to be?
I'm sorry to reply late. Thank you for your advice. First, I paint “Gaia Notes Gaia Color GS-03 Surfacer EVO Black” for primary paint to surface and blacken undercoating. www.amazon.com/Gaia-Color-GS-03-Surfacer-Black/dp/B004CWAIW2 Then, I paint “Creos 308 FS36375” unevenly on purpose. I finished faded paint effect at this point. Next, I do filter paints. I mainly use “TAMIYA Panel Line Accent Color Black”. www.tamiya.com/english/products/87131_133panel_accent/index.htm I also use Mr weathering color for oil stains around the drop tank and the engine and so on. And ... I’m thinking what to build next, but I’ll upload photo videos of "F-4B PhantomⅡ" and "A-4 Skyhawk" that I made as practice in the past.
The weathering is just awesome. I'm currently tackling the same kit. This video will be a good reference for weathering.
