You may have been wondering why we call Su Queen . you have just witnessed why 16 years old and followed that intro . not many performers would even try to . scary thing is she is nearly 27 ( December 20th ) now and even better ❤😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
⚡ / 🔥 😱 🔥 That was a sixteen year old Su. She premiered the song the night before, at Budokan Red Night. Rondo is easily in my top ten BABYMETAL songs. Su performed three solos that night. She did 'No Rain, No Rainbow', followed by 'Akatsuki' earlier in the set. Yui and Moa (as Black BABYMETAL) did two songs without Su ('4 no Uta' and 'Onedari Daisakusen'), and they all performed a bunch of songs together. That Black Night Budokan concert from March 2014 is still one of my favorite BABYMETAL concerts. Not only is Su brave enough to sing and dance on a tiny elevated platform in the dark, but she is also fearless enough to follow those amazing Kami Band solos.
Nice one, thanks! The three Su-metal solos from that show were what turned me into a die-hard fan. BOH, the bassist here, told in an interview that when he first joined the Kami Band he got only one condition: to play as loud and hard ad he could. The musicians were probably worried that their wall of sound would overpower a teenage lead singer. Then, they knew Su-metal... 😁 🤘🦊
Great reaction. Sorry I'm late, this didn't show up in my searches and I didn't see a notification. This is one of four Su-metal solos, two on each of the first two albums. Yui and Moa would get a break while Su performed those (there is a rumour they were doing some homework back stage). There are also 4 songs without Su performed by Yui and Moa as a duo known as Black BABYMETAL. The Kami Band intro in order of solos - Leda Cygnus (blue guitar), Takayoshi Ohmura (gold guitar), BOH (6 string bass) and Hideki Aoyama (drums). There can't be many 16 year old girls who could follow that intro and then just take over the whole stage and arena the way Su did. This is one of their darkest songs lyrically, the working title was 'Kill The Alice'. I understand rondo is a musical term denoting a repeated theme - something like that anyway. I believe they borrowed the term for the title of this song as Su is caught in a recurring nightmare, being chased through the darkness by something she can't see. Eventually she hides, but it is still coming closer. Knowing there is no escape she asks that if she is to die won't it at least reveal itself to her. This was only the second time Su had performed this song live - the first time was the night before. This was early March 2014. They played two nights at the Budokan in Tokyo (think the equivalent of Carnegie Hall or Madison Square Garden - it is the place all Japanese and many foreign artists aspire to play), Red Night and Black Night, becoming the youngest average age female band ever to headline there (Su was 16 and a couple of months, Yui and Moa still only 14). They had just released their first album - they sold out both nights. 🤘🦊🤘
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This is the song that I am longing for the revival with Su-Metal's matured rich voice. (Of course I love this version) "Rondo" is a musical form with a recurring leading theme. I can't tell how many times I have viewed this video. It is literally a rondo of happy dream for me. Kamis' (=Gods') super solos were excellent enough as a main event in the show, but once the 16-year-old Queen (as of 2014) emerged from the underground, she colored everything differently with her penetrating voice then turned Kami Band's plays into a ritual to summon her.
This has to be one of my favorite songs and performances from Babymetal. Su's angelic vocals, Kami East's brutality, and the ominous/dark nature of the song are just perfection. 🤘🦊
Nice reaction. Kamiband with a great intro. A Rondo means recurring. The song is about a recurring nightmare. Rather scary one at that. All about being chased by an unseen foe in the night. all you can see are the claws and fangs flashing in the moonlight. You run and hide but it finds you anyway. Before it takes her Su asks for it to reveal itself. And then she falls into the darkness. but she wakes and that is why it ends suddenly. I always hoped none of them had this recurring nightmare. This is one of those songs and performances that show Su was born with more talent than humanly possible. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises.
Rondo (musical term) is something with a reccuring theme, in this case it's more of a nightmare coming back sort of. This is such a great song! I'm a long time fan of theirs, I really love their new stuff (2019 and onwards) but their old stuff is so playful and experimental, like this one, and I love that. Nice reaction!
Thank you!!! I didn't write anything about the other girls not performing, but this is one of 4 (? I think)(I hope Grington will soon be here to fill you in on all the details) solo performances by Su. Akatsuki, one of my other requests 😉, is also Su solo.
And in fact this Song was based on a bet. When the Kami Band east was hired Kobametal claimed I don't care that they are small girls. We don't care that they were idols. I want ou to play as hard and ad loud ad you can. And this was a challenge for them. What they did not know in Europe they asked the same questions in the 60s. Why were female voices capable to be heard through the noise fogs of Metal instruments but not male voices? They found out their voices were a bit higher thsn the base frequencies of their metal instruments. Our brains can detect the base frequencies and eliminate the generated higher frequencies from the spectrum and they get additional frequenciesbeven if they are tiny. Zhid is also the reason why boardcomputers in Planes are by default females. The pilots obey to them easier.
@@kevinty7 Ignore that guy. Most of what he says is delusional fan fiction. Koba did tell the original Kamis to play as hard as they can and not worry about overpowering the girls. It had nothing to do with a bet or specifically with this song, however.

Only Su-Metal could follow that insane intro from the Kami band, she is absolutely fearless on stage and she was only 16 at this time astonishing 🦊

Teenage SuMetal is absolutely relentless.🦊🤘🔥
🤯🤯
Health and safety wouldn't allow that staging here 🙄🤣
now way😂😂👍🏽
Su's solo, give others a small break. Black Babymetal (Yui and Moa) have 4 songs to give Su a break.
