    I have a doubt with the mathematical equation,i.e.,
    E²=(mc²)² + (pc)²
    When v=0 , then whole (pc)² term is zero . So, we will be left with
    E=mc² .
    Now you told for photons there is no mass ,so putting m=0 , we get:
    E²= (pc)²
    E=pc .
    But p= mv as momentum is the product of mass and velocity. -(i)
    Now, replacing m=0 in equation (i), we get:
    p=0×v
    p=0
    Putting this value in E=pc , we get:
    E=0
    From this we get that photon has zero energy . Since any object cannot have zero energy, it cannot travel at a speed of light.
    Now again, taking the equation E=pc, we get:
    E= pc (For photon)
    E= mv × c (As p= mv)
    Since, v = c for photons, so we get that: E= mc× c
    E= mc² which is same as that of an object at rest.
    Please solve my doubts about this equation in the next video.

    Why people take it in wrong way? It's not about the speed of light which is 3 lakh km/hr. It is about constant speed with respect to any reference (either in motion or rest). If we travel with the speed of light, we can only see the present (without any delay due to speed of light coming into your eyes). But if you travel with a speed which is constant then it is possible to travel in time. Speed of light is not important, nature of light is important due to which it's speed remains constant with respect to any reference.

      While it is true that photons have no mass, it is also true that we see light bend around sources with high mass due to gravity. This is not because the mass pulls on the photons directly, but instead because the mass warps the space-time through which the photons travel.

    Aapne kha ki jin object ka mass nhi hota vo Light Speed pr travel krega . And uski energy hogi E= pc. Now photon ka mass nhi hota, momentum. p = mv hota h to vo bhi 0 ho jayega phir light ka momentum kse hua?

    When mass is 0 then equation is
    E=Pc
    Where P is momentum
    And momentum= mass×velocity
    But here mass is 0 so P =0
    And E =0
    I am confused.

      becoz, according to special theory of relativity, if a object moves in higer velocity, it's mass increases from it's rest mass, so in case of photon when photon is moving through the speed of light or near spedd of light, it's relative mass increases, and in this equation the term P is the relative momentum of object , so the rest mass of photon may be 0, but it's relative mass is nit zero... that's why here m(rest mass)=0, but p(relative momentum) is not zero

      One more question from my side (may you help me with my confusion)
      In that train's example the boy standing outside was noticing the train(which was a single system)so for him also the photon should strike the two mirrors at the same time because ofcource the RHS mirror was moving away from that bulb but the bulb itself was moving with the train so the distance between that bulb and the two mirror must be constant from outside too...
      Isn't it??

      Nope it is not about the bulb and the mirror it's about your eye and the mirror
      If train is moving it is in your left so your distances between your eye and right mirror is more than the left one so you will feel that distance between right mirror and bulb is more than that of left one

      There's no reason for their existence that we know till date..We should combine General relativity and quantum mechanics to know it which is impossible for us by current theories

    Momentum of an object is equal to the mass of the object times the velocity of the object. So in case of photons, if mass is 0 for the first part of the equation then it will be 0 for the 2nd part aswell i.e (pc)2 means energy will be equal to 0

      Actually speed of light is not 3*108m/s it is 299 792 458 m / s but we do not use this value while solving questions and if u wanted to know how we calculated this value there are many videos on TH-cam please watch it

    I want to ask a question if photon is mass less means it mass =0 then how black hole gravity can absorb it bcz it does not feel any force bcz force is mg n m=0 so how light got absorbed n if it got absorbed then photon have mass so how it can travel with light speed as Einstein said a object with mass cannot travel with light speed ???????       In my opinion, as per Hindu mythology, mind is the only means to cross the speed of light. An individual whose mind is fully under control can achieve it. Means to control mind is meditation and concentration.
      Einstein may be one individual to achieve it.
      Mythology also predicts that such experience is only individual.
      This experience has no( intellectual concepts of) language OR Grammar to share with others.
      This experience is the GOD experience which we all seek.
      We can all achieve this without any, quarrels OR blood bath.

      @@bentennyson3255 what i have heard of big bang theory it suggests that before big bang there was an infinitly small point which had infinite mass that is what i believe is the reason for continuous expansion of universe(the infinite mass) and then that mass breaks down into energy and smaller masses(on big bang) so the total energy and mass in total is conserved . So from this point of view i believe energy and mass are related and only there conversion takes place from energy to mass and vice versa. While what we have studied when it comes to photon it can't be considered as energy directly those are considered as packets of energy. A lot of questions can be worked out from this point but i think the concept of wave particle duality can resolve those.and yes i think I'll require some more research for telling you how energy and photons are quite different

    Take the speed of bus 'x'.
    Speed of light=300000km/sec.
    Then,speed of light for the observer= x+300000km/sec.
    You said faster than light is impossible.
    Explain how.
