Aside from the obvious equipment: Microscope, Bench PSU, Multimeter, hot air station, soldering iron, computer for schematic viewing Something that cannot be undercut is a really good pair of tweezers, the finer the better, and a fume extractor.
Hi Tim, please help me I want to become repair technician like you, but i am too confused about the future of repairing because of upgrading in components. Can you tell me what is the future of repairing in 5 years from now. Your small effort will contribute big change in my whole life Please response 🙏
The future of repair doesn't seem that dark to me. Even on the new apple m1s, they still can't put everything into the SOC. There will always be devices in need of repair, and unless they start welding their machines shut there will be people who figure out a way to fix them.
Well, not all of them. Sometimes they will just stop working on their own. But corrosion will be #1 because liquid getting into these devices is always possible.
Yeah those two en lines are trolling me a lot of time. Great explanation. Thx tcrs aka Tim aka flux on the sealing.
Don't mention the flux, Anel is still in therapy
Nice explanation, thanks Tim
Hi bro, long time lurker, was wondering if you could show us your bench layout and your must have tools! cheers :)

Hello Tim, is this „refuse to start without battery“ behaviour specific to MBP 2015 only?
Yes, if you have a aftermarket charger. I believe the 2015 15" will also hang on the progress bar with no battery.
Morning Tim
why all repairs are caused by corrusions ?
Well, not all of them. Sometimes they will just stop working on their own. But corrosion will be #1 because liquid getting into these devices is always possible.
