    I have issues with claustrophobia causing panic attacks and I have never needed to use DAS because being local I stick with either fast passes or what ever looks manageable at the time but I think it’s great that it’s available for those in need. Cm’s and the people around me have always been cool when I explain why I may be hanging back a little in line... I just need some breathing room especially in the queues like Splash Mountain. I’m sure with the new measures this virus will bring I will have an easier time with the crowds pressing together though. You guys are fun to watch and it was really interesting to see the process and how DAS actually works... thanks!

    Thank you soo much for explaining these things. Nobody does DAS better than Disney. It is an amazing stress reliever to not have to think of long lines with special needs children. Without DAS it would be imposible for many many children to even go to Disney or anywhere else. At least in Disney, special needs kids feel special for the right reasons. Thank you Disney

    It is so weird that when I talked to guest relations they said that I wouldn't get a DAS pass with a wheelchair, either a return time or just wait in regular line. Guess I will have to look things over again. I appreciate this video though, and I love seeing Andrew as I have CP as well. This was a delight to watch

    • @thumbnaildave
      @thumbnaildave 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That is true from what they told us, DAS is designed for people unable to wait in long lines, such as people with autism or other conditions that make waiting in lines near impossible. We were told DAS passes are given case-by-case and there is no guarantee that a guest will qualify even if they have certain disabilities. I do know people who have gotten a DAS pass on some visits and didn't qualify on other visits so there must be other criteria they're using day by day is my assumption.

    Andrew is a hoot! But his brother is amazing. I have a nephew who is pretty much a quadriplegic with MS, and he's the comedian of the family. Unfortunately, because his lungs don't work so well he's holed up in his apt at this time. And like Andrew, his Bro is there for him....
    I sure hope that Andrew and the rest of your family are doing well during this bat crap crazy time....

    • @annlebelt2676
      @annlebelt2676 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He Jason most of the rides will let you take the EVC up to around the loading area or they will have wheelchairs. A cast member at the entrance of the ride can direct you as to what is needed. Those wait lines are extremely long and almost all of them go up and down by either hill or steps. I hope this kind of helps. I watch Beth’s Disney Adventure, her friend Amy is sometimes with her and Amy uses a EVC

      Hello, i am planning to go to Disney and Universal in August, I am undergoing treatment for my knees since I can not walk far and I am taking my own wheelchair. My question is: In case there are steps, is there any secure place to leave the wheelchair at the entrance of the roller coaster? I am afraid it could be stolen.

    HOW DO THEY EVACUATE people that use wheelchair from rides?????

    • @bunniesbunniesbunnie
      @bunniesbunniesbunnie 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you can walk, it's the same as anyone else. That's even if you need to take extra time. Cast members are there to help you, as the evacuee. If you have mobility issues, there are a variety of ways they evacuate. In extreme cases, they may call in EMTs (free) to help assist you since they're professional medical personnel. If they can get your wheelchair to you, they may give you that option, too.
      Evacuations are varied and there's a lot that happens during those times. They absolutely will take care of those people, rest assured.
