The best I’ve accomplished myself is using a bandsaw. Drew my parters then cut it into three sections, finished scrolling then plasti dip spray. Still have never been happy with any homemade plucking or cutting.good video, thanks man

@@Keithjmcc I would have never thought about a bandsaw

I've done quite a few gun cases. Kudos to you for going on you tube and showing it. Cutting pluckable foam at an angle really sucks tho. I would choose to replace it with a solid piece of foam. I imagine Amazon sells it. And I would have reversed the order of the flex seal and the spray adhesive. You basically sprayed the entire surface of your base foam with the adhesive, which will leave a tacky surface where the rifles sit to collect dust and other crap. If you did the adhesive 1st, and the flex seal after, it would seal over that adhesive. But great job!

@@nealericksen2773 yeah I realized the order mix up when I was done, I have gone back over it with more flex seal but the top and bottom don’t stay as stuck together as I would like. Appreciate the feedback!

Electric fish filled knife works great cutting the foam

@HomeMadeTactical i have customized several cases for myself and friends. The electric filler knife cuts a clean line and if you go slow, you can make detailed cuts. I use a cheap one from Walmart and it works great

@HomeMadeTactical you're welcome. I just looked and there are no video tutorials on using an electric filled knife. An old timer at my range taught me the trick. I'll keep an eye out for your tutorial.

Good work but, I got the magpul insert for my Apache case and you can customize it to any of your guns just moving some of the blocks around. Still a nice job

@ you won’t regret it I have taken it to Colorado and the ride was rough. My rifle stayed zero and well protected!

Got to admit, made me cringe with the painting and the spraying of glue… lol, all I could think was move the foam you are spraying off of the things you’re not spraying!! I always coat my cut foam with plasti-dip. Use a bunch of very light coats from different angles to get a factory looking coat. Plus it seals the foam and it protects the edge of the cut foam from fraying and your end product will look very nice. But you will eventually get to where you just toss shit into a bag (without foam) and roll on.

Try doing the pluck only method that I used on my All Tactical Weather case. It probably takes as much time if not more than the cutting method, but I like the blocky look.

@@Toracubed1 yeah I thought about doing that but wasn’t sure how long it would take! Maybe on the next one I will try that out
