Jesse, removing the rear crash bar is only 4 bolts and gives you a lot more room. The rear crossember is also only 4 bolts. Last, you can drop the engine onto a furniture dolly or even a piece of cardboard to reduce the need to lift the car very much. Doing this eliminates the need for a hoist (what your refer to as a crane) at all…you can use a transverse engine support bar and lower the engine and tranny using ratchet straps or a floor jack. Orienting the engine longitudinally allows it to slide ride out the back with the car just above normal ride height. Much safer than lifting the car.
@@JesseSpec a little more power and torque. It's going to be cool seeing you learn and figure out how to extract the potential od a new platform, K power💪🏻
i do not understand why some people change the 2zzge with k20. has nothing to jealous of him, except if you go for dragster! there yes! It has other solutions but it is also more expensive! afterward with oil pan and oil sump you can tear the 2zzge without any fear, both very reliable and good engines (I also have ep3 typer and corolla tsport) Anyway great video mate!
Thanks man! I agree. The more I get into this build, the less I am convinced it will all that better than the 2zz hahaha. I love the 2zz to be honest. Anyways, I am doing this whole thing to see how much better it is. We’ll ser how this turns out ;-) Check my other vids, you will see how much I already lean towards the 2zz hahah
@@JesseSpec good luck with project my friend! In my k20a2 put * injen cai, plm headers full 70mm decat custom exhaust, rbc intake, skunk2 70mm throttle and of course hondata ecu with good tune in 8.800rpm*. All this with safe tunning gives me 245hp and 225nm. This recipe is awesome you will remember me! And the most important!!!! Good fluid in your trans, don't put mtf honda fluid! And Only gl4 not gl5 ! And your sychros last forever
@@JesseSpec 😂 I’ve been waiting for an update. I’m going to be selling off my old 2zz stuff to finance my k-build. Looking forward to all your mods and any tips and pointers for the swap.
Who of my Viewers has removed his/her engine from their Mr2 in this manner?

Absolutely not ironic. Honestly, really refreshing to see your honesty. Such a change from the normal hyperbole floating around YT today.

What swap mounts did you purchase for the k-swap? The map mounts utilizing the stock mounting points seem interesting.
