  • In this video, I'll be hiking the Rubicon Trail from DL Bliss State Park to Emerald Bay State Park in Lake Tahoe.
The Rubicon Trail is one of the most scenic hikes in South Lake Tahoe. The trail from DL Bliss State Park to Emerald Bay (or vice versa) is 4.6-miles and is rated as moderate. The trail hugs the shoreline the entire time and features stunning vistas and numerous turquoise coves. Once you make it to Emerald Bay, and if you have the energy, you can hike to Lower Eagle Falls, explore the Vikingsholm Castle, or rent a kayak or paddleboard and paddle out to Fannette Island (between Memorial Day and Labor Day).
P.S: If you're visiting Lake Tahoe, please do your part to keep it beautiful by Leaving No Trace.

Rubicon Trail is definitely my favorite hike I've done in Tahoe so far! Can you do Castle Rock, Fallen Leaf Lake, or Angora Ridge? Have you done any mountain biking? I've done the AMAZING Flume Trail (Even though I thought I was going to die going up the initial climb) but was also thinking about doing The Powerline and Railroad Grade beginner trails this summer!
