Soldiers love Chester and the other guys for the people that they are, and they are genuinely interested in their stories. they will always listen to them, it doesn’t matter if it’s in a form of metal or a pop song.

somebody13324: Ironic. Considering that this song sounds even more like whiny emo crybaby, prepubescent, disneyland, and sugar coated pop garbage. It's about cohesion and actually utilizing the maximum potential of the six band member's talent, not simply about doing HT pt. 3. They can do whatever they want but constructive criticism brings the band crucial improvement. Where is the use of all the band members unique talents being put together to intertwine the loose ends. Mike's rapping. DJ Hahn's synthesizing and sampling. Rob Bourdon's drums, Delson and Pheonix riffs, and Chester's vocals are all integral aspects of the band's cohesive evolution, which doesn't simply mean people want nu-metal or HT pt. 3 all over again.
somebody13324 The fans don't like the song because its soft. They dislike the song because it's not interesting. A lot of fans really enjoy some of the softer work, mainly because they were put together so well and sounded good. This song is crappy and that is mainly why their was backlash. Waiting for the end is soft but it is amazing because it was put together nicely and had a lot of elements that made it shine through. Yeah part of me wishes they would go back to rap rock, but I still love the LP that has made different styles of music, but this song to me was boring and lacked the passion and drive that make the band so great.

It's fine, I am not going to be negative, but I think they are an amazing and potencial rock band, and I wouldn't like they forget his identity, getting carried away by the comercial music. If they get that, it's fine they trying different rhythms and melodies.

One of the main songs he was getting tired of doing all the time was "one stop closer" the only reason he did that and the other older stuff at the concerts was because of the fans that did love those songs.

Remember when Mike Shinoda was talking shit about pop music when their last album Hunting Party came out and how he said how rock and rap was turning into Nickelodeon tunes??? Well look at the song they made. It's a pop Nickelodeon tune. If you can't beat em join em huh? So disappointed.

You should watch the interview he did with Smash Press regarding this album and how he explains on how he sees pop music and how there's different types and the differences are and how he talks about genres of music in general.
its a good song, but its not so linkin park, what is the use of joe's dj talents,brad's unforgettable riffs,rob's incredible drum technique,mike's rapping, chester's flawless vocals when you could just mix a tune in computer and sing over it, not saying that we need another nu metal album, just make use of all the flawless musical talents you got and give us another billboard-topping rock album atleast, you guys doing pop means waste of all your talent and death of what was once a great band, hope this heavy song was only meant for radio

THETOOT Nobody said that we wanted then to remake their first two records. All we want is for them to make music that isn't an embarrassment to their legacy and an insult to its listeners like Heavy is.
Justin Wheeler Simmer lol NOBODY SAID THEY SHOULD STAY THE SAME FOR TWENTY YEARS. All we want is for them to create music that actually sounds like they put effort into it. This sounds like a generic half ass pop song that The Chain smokers would come out with. It's a huge step down in quality from what they're used to. And in a recent interview, Chester said they only make their music for the fans, and the fans don't like this at all
It's possible to be a "real fan" of a band but not blindly adore everything they ever make just because Linkin Park made it. LP have made bad music before but this song is by far the worst. VERY little effort put into this and if there was a lot of effort in writing this, they sure did a good job at masking it. And yes, it's one song, but Mike said this is the overarching sound that the whole album has, which is extremely disappointing. It's pretty clear at this point that they're only in it for the money now and this is song is made with the sole intention of getting them lots of it.
I think they came out of the closet and made this song.
