As soon as he brings out that smooth baritone singing voice (even suffering a hangover it sounded flawless) I just melt, like butta'. :) Seriously, all he or Cumberbatch would have to do is purr on the nape of my neck and I'd be done.

@@laullyann2896 You can! I have Misty Mountains as my ringtone on my Android phone. There is an app called, "Zedge" and just type in the search bar what you want to hear. :) One time I got a call on my cell during a meeting and because Richard's voice is my ringtone, there were a few raised eyebrows. (Sorry, not sorry) :)

He's a brilliant actor with such a great personality, he's thoughtful and funny and lovely, and of course charming and handsome. So rare to find that sort of combination nowadays.
So sweet of Richard to think of his fans. I discovered him watching "North and South" and have witnessed the love and dedication that the moderators of his fan page put into it. Richard, Gerard Butler, and Mark Ruffalo are the only three actors that I have had the pleasure of watching develop from "before they were famous".

Katherine B You REALLY ought to listen to “Misty Mountains” recorded by Tim Foust (“Home Free” - bass singer) & Peter Hollens in their You Tube video (as well as watch it !) ! It’s ALL wonderful, but let me warn you to brace yourself for the VERY LAST note !! It WILL give you MAJOR cold chill bumps !!
For those wondering about the last clip, on 22nd Feb 2011, Christchurch, NZ was hit by a devastating and deadly earthquake (I was there). On May 22 2011, a Telethon (Rise Up, Christchurch) was held to raise funds for the quake-ravaged city and the boys, who were in NZ filming, offered to help in their unique way! I don't know whose idea it was, and obviously they couldn't be seen in their film costumes due to filming confidentiality, but this was the next best thing! The Hobbit book auction raised over $4000.

Another great Dwarf that will bite the dust! Damn all my favorites are not going to have a happy ending! Richard is so great! Love his accent and singing voice! He's funny, sensitive, & humble - Wow! I love the clip where he tosses back his hair and then his horse does the same, so funny! One of the reasons I like the Hobbit movies so much is that I have met so many new actors that I never knew before, and they are all so great! I just love my dwarves and will miss them like crazy!

L Broderick Well like I said, I've read the Hobbit so it's no big thing for me, just think of everyone else. PLUS....this has been going on as a rumor for awhile...supposedly, one of the characters who died in the book will NOT die in the film.....
ladycplum Well, I haven't heard that rumor! If true, I doubt the character the lives is any of the ones that I really care about! I'm pretty sure that PJ is still going to kill off Thorin, Kili and Fili otherwise it would affect the LOTR movies! And even if I put spoiler alert on my posts there are hundreds of other posts that don't! It's how I found out things I didn't want to know! If you don't want to know anything don't read peoples' comments! That's the only way you won't find out anything if you are watching videos and reading comments! My comments get posted just like everyone else's!
