Armitage Alert! Part 2 of The Richard Armitage interview to be released tomorrow, Wednesday March 5th, at 12Noon Pacific/3pm Eastern (8PM UK!) Thank you SO MUCH for your brilliantly supportive comments. It truly means a lot to us. It's nice to know that you ALL realize that the team who produce, film and edit these shows, interview these artists and read your comments...are people too. People who are just trying to do the best job they can in bringing you entertaining content we think you will all like. It's so rewarding to produce shows for such an appreciative, positive audience...such as yourselves. Thanks again! Cheers, Marlise Boland, Creator/Producer The Anglophile Channel
We very much appreciate all your hard work and dedication just to bring us what we want......and I so enjoy your 'tea breaks' on facebook.....not that I'll ever get to have tea at any of them but seeing those lovely spreads is quite entertaining. And I bet you'll have no difficulty in booking future interviews with our beloved RA! ;)
I saw Richard Armitage years ago in North & South and thought that he is a real talented and unique actor and that he should be much more known and appreciated, now that time has come and it looks like he is keeping it real and down to earth, good man and great actor.
How utterly adorable he is, I loved him in "Robin" but have not seen a full interview before. I had no idea how urbane and relaxed he is. Looking forward to the Hobbit part 3 in the autumn/winter.
What a wonderful interview! Brilliant. He obviously had a great time. Thanks so much. Can't wait for the rest. Don't suppose there's a chance for a blooper reel vid? :D
TheAnglophileChannel WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Do you have ANY idea how many views that will get????!!! You maybe better warn TH-cam. It'd be only fair.
Richard Armitage, you sweet, funny, adorable man! Thank you Anglophile Channel for this wonderful Part 1 of the interview. Just wonderful - but we need more new questions. Can't wait for the rest!!! Has made my Sunday, and I'm up at 3:00am.(Richard, stay away from Twitter, just stay far away!)
Best part of the interview was Richard being surprised that he topped Tom in this poll...as I love both actors I thought that was a really sweet moment.
What a lovely, relaxed interview! It's like you're just chatting with a friend. So refreshing to hear his answers to new questions. Looking forward to the rest!
That was amazing!!!!! I'm so looking forward to seeing the rest of the interview! He's wonderful xD And he looks very relaxed and comfortable there with you
Many thanks for this Part. One ! You light up our Sunday ! He is so lovely, relaxed and funny ! Impossible to resist to his charm ! Sure the rest of your interview will be amazing and different of what we see usually and that's gReAt !!! Thanks, again :-)
Okay, was it just me or did Richard make a little naughty joke about rolling R's/ arse?? Loved that he was so relaxed and playful! Thanks for sharing this!
Thank you!! Thank you very much for this interview!! I'm really enjoying it and can't wait for part two! Richard is fantastic and so are you Anglophile Channel's team for doing this for us :)
So very lovely to see him so relaxed and at ease......Cannot wait to see more. Thank you Marlise for putting him at ease and making this such a wonderful experience for ALL of the Armitage Army!
Marlise, this is amazing, thank you again for your hard work and as well for your team, I can't wait for the other parts, This is turning out to be the best interview with Richard I have ever seen, ever!!! Also, I didnt know you are part latina :D
Thank you for this lovely interview! Richard Armitage is both humble and hilarious and you found a great approach to present these characteristics! I am really looking forward to seeing the next parts!
Waking up to find this amazing video: such a wonderful way to say "good morning"!!!! Thank you Marlise! Thank you and The Anglophile Channel's team as well. Now...let's wait for part-2
I have a friend who works for a company called Candid Casting and Richard Armitage is the front runner to take over as James Bond after Daniel Craig in 2018. Craig has two more Bond films to make (back to back released 2016 and 2017) but so far as I know he is top of the list to date, but that may change depending on scheduling over the next 3 years.
Jay Smith We've been telling Richard that since we met him...he should play Bond! That would make his fandom go through the roof, but more importantly, as a producer, I believe he'd be a classic James Bond. Lets hope it happens. Thanks for the intel.
I was disappointed by the teaser. But now I can see that he is as charming, intelligent, polite and wonderful like he allways was. I can't wait for part 2!
Please please, give us soon the part 2! And thanks so much for this wonderful interview! You seem to have had a wonderful time, you're so lucky! Thanks for sharing it with us!
+Amy Thompson Thank you Amy! We really enjoyed our chat which is what led to our 2nd sit-down during the Hobbit! Hope you watched that one too. "Armitage iChat" Thanks for watching!
I wouldn't be so in love with him if he wasn't so funloving. He's so impossibly stately and commanding by his presence alone while being hilariously crazy and enthusiastic with everything. I wanna spend hours talking to him about the Hobbit and then give him a huge hug (which would be extremely funny since I'm about half his height). You're terrible Richard. Terrible. I hate you. Why are you such a perfect human being? It's not fair at all. (Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah)
thanks soooo much for this interview!! I love the fact that he always has intelligent and funny thing to say :) i'm loving his shy-dorky face when the wet shirt is mentioned! xDD can't wait for more! greetings from Chile!
Thanks, a very enjoable interview. RA has always interesting things to say. I really loved his explanation on how he relates to different interviewers. Can't wait for the the rest of it! :)
My spy's tell me it will be tomorrow! Stay tuned! And let me take a moment to thank the 99% people making really positive comments here. This been a lot of work, but a labor of love and seeing that it is making 'most' people happy means the world to us! Like I said, RA has some wonderful fans! This is a week I will never forget. Let's keep it going!
I feel in love with guy when I was around 7 or 8, I genuinely thought he was the best character in Robin Hood! I used to play Robin Hood at break time in primary school and I would always demand to be Guy, my mum found it a little odd that an 8 year old girl wanted to be a moody, leather clad man who was generally seen as a bit bad! I when Robin Hood finished I didn't see Richard for a long time, spooks and mi-5 being a little out of my age range, but when I was 5 I read the hobbit and it has been my favourite book now for 11 years! So when I found out that Richard was playing Thorin, a character who I'd continuously weep over, I was sooo excited! I also have just seen North and South, which was amazing! And the crucible is one of my favourite plays and the production that Richard was in was the best live performance I have ever seen. And to top it all off he is a lovely, funny man, who happens to be very attractive!
Omg so did I, my primary school friends used to be confused why I fancied guy. And now I'm 15 and recently watched the hobbit I've fallen in love with him again, and literally watched every single thing with him in.
+oswin's11 Great story! Thanks for sharing Oswin. We love Richard at TAC. Hope you caught our other interviews as well! Thanks for watching! Don't forget to subscribe...we have more coming!
haha I love how she pronounced Sucrita Prasad XD I'm an Indian living in the U.S and I need to know my fellow Indians who are Armitage fans 'cause none of my friends from India have heard of him! They're missing out!
TheAnglophileChannel Oh! No no, you pronounced it perfectly! That's why I said I loved it :) I guess the "haha" made it seem I was mocking but I wasn't, you did a great job with the r-rolling and the clear pronunciation that a lot of people don't do. Yay! :)
UGH I love this man. He's the perfect combination of geek, nerd, sex and adorable-ness. He's hilarious. He gives me faith in the male species on a whole. And seriously, I'd cash in my life savings and sell my first born child to get him in a wet shirt. I'm not proud of it but just sayin...
I tried reading the book...the first one I guess..and I respect anyone who can get through it once let alone many times..not that it's not good, it is, just a lot to remember...I love books and I'm getting a master's degree..maybe its because I have no time for myself right now lol but I bought The Hobbit, but I'm still working on the second movie...I had to watch the first movie two or three times to understand it lol Much respect to others who it comes easily. Richard always seems so down to earth and humble...acting is his job not his power trip. Lovely person. :) If I only watched movies with Richard and Gerard Butler from now on...I'd never miss Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise..overrated. lol
Sorry if I have two of the same comments of mine being posted anywhere. I don't mean to let that happen. I don't even know how it's doing that. I only meant to post it one time after I write it, not two or more times!!!
Is there have English subtitle? I'm from China but couldn't clearly enough what Richard said…and i wanna translate to Chinese, anyone can help me? Thanks…
Don't know why people think he's out of character here, before The Hobbit we all knew him as sweet, funny and blokey? Nice to see the the weight of that part lifted, now can he do a comedy?
Those 3 thumbs down votes on this clip must have been from Bennedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston and David Tennant.... LOL.....ummm their fans, I mean. :)
She got kissed and hugged by Richard?! Lucky bitch! Sorry... still love ya, Marlise. Thank you for this interview. He's very relaxed and as always Dear-God-Help-Me GORGEOUS! If only I knew this gonna happen before, I could've design the poster myself. And to have him signed it? I'll die
Vrishali Sawale Lol, that's what I thought at first, but then there was that look he gave. And the fact that "Ian Mckellen rumours" in Google pretty much gives just one one main hit...
I still disagree with Richard Armitage for a lot of things, but those are just my thoughts. I'm not an easy person, but a really hard one. His fans don't have to be against him for it. I'm not pushy to turn people away from him. Though one thing I admit being wrong about him is misjudging him for the height he's been saying he is. I actually didn't know he was about 6'2 1/2, but an exact 6'2. No wonder why he says he's 6'3 cause he's not exactly 6'3 but he is around that height. And it probably wouldn't make a lot of sense going all the way back with 6'2 if he's halfway to 6'3. I read a long time ago that he was 6'2. Most of it's written like he's about exactly 6'2, and some sources are accurate. But obviously, the internet can be incorrect especially inaccurate about people's heights also. He's not the only one with a height not at an exact inch. The internet can say someone's about a certain height taller because they're halfway in the middle between two different inches. But yet, the internet insists to say Richard Armitage is still only 6'2, even though he's in the middle of 6'2 and 6'3. That just makes it so confusing for many people who don't know him! It's simply unfair!! I realize I was wrong about that and I was really mean and cruel about him of that for nothing. I usually am aware the internet can be inaccurate about many things and also claims some false lies as true, but for some ridiculous reason of mine, I failed this time and fell into the internet's trap. I was blind-minded this time! Now I'm thinking most sources of the internet are the ones that deserves the blame, even from me if I could help it!
FABULOUS! But if a subsequent interview doesn't include RA participating in a wet t-shirt contest - even if he's the ONLY contestant - I will feel badly used. And teased. And fatally disappointed.

I've loved this man since 2006! Love Guy, Thornton, Lucas, Porter, Standring and Thorin!
I have a friend who works for a company called Candid Casting and Richard Armitage is the front runner to take over as James Bond after Daniel Craig in 2018. Well I enjoyed this immensely. Can't wait to hear what happens in part 2!
Also: How do they frenchify Armitage?
I feel in love with guy when I was around 7 or 8, I genuinely thought he was the best character in Robin Hood! I used to play Robin Hood at break time in primary school and I would always demand to be Guy, my mum found it a little odd that an 8 year old girl wanted to be a moody, leather clad man who was generally seen as a bit bad!
I can’t stop laughing😂 he’s so lovely
haha I love how she pronounced Sucrita Prasad XD I'm an Indian living in the U.S and I need to know my fellow Indians who are Armitage fans 'cause none of my friends from India have heard of him! They're missing out!
Yikes! I knew I'd get it wrong :/ How DO you pronounce it properly?
Indian and totally in love with him!! :)
TheAnglophileChannel Oh! No no, you pronounced it perfectly! That's why I said I loved it :) I guess the "haha" made it seem I was mocking but I wasn't, you did a great job with the r-rolling and the clear pronunciation that a lot of people don't do. Yay! :)
Shreeja Singh HighFive lady! :)
JTeamjesters Oh Yeay! Thank you! :-)
I've been looking all over to find a place to vote for the 2014 awards. You make it so hard to find. I guess I won't be voting!
Yeah, Richard, I think you put a little bit of Gisborne in Thorin!!!!
my Thorin Pop sits on my desk at work...

Could you ask him if women always just fall pregnant when they see him talk? Or is it just me?
Is there have English subtitle? I'm from China but couldn't clearly enough what Richard said…and i wanna translate to Chinese, anyone can help me? Thanks…
I must admit I was a little disappointed by Thorin's huge age difference. They pulled it off nicely though and I think this actor was a great choice.
Richard, I wish I had your e-mail address so I could tell you how much you are loved and being prayed for all the time!!!!
Don't know why people think he's out of character here, before The Hobbit we all knew him as sweet, funny and blokey?
Nice to see the the weight of that part lifted, now can he do a comedy?
Nice interview! Sounds like he's a little bit mad at Ian McKellen though for starting some rumours..
eewz8 yes grrrr. Sir Ian said Richard is Goodlooking that's very true
and started some rumours grrrr....
I'll die
WAIT...was that a reference to the gay rumours at 4:55? Oh Richard, do elaborate ;)
No, he meant rumours about probably having to go back to shoot again.
There are rumors that the cast will be back filming more of The Hobbit in May, mentioned by a couple of the cast (dwarves) in interviews.
Vrishali Sawale Lol, that's what I thought at first, but then there was that look he gave. And the fact that "Ian Mckellen rumours" in Google pretty much gives just one one main hit...
The newest song by Thorin...... They're Taking The Hobbits to Isenguard feat. Legolas

Was it just me or did he present a little shyness during the interview?
FABULOUS! But if a subsequent interview doesn't include RA participating in a wet t-shirt contest - even if he's the ONLY contestant - I will feel badly used. And teased. And fatally disappointed.
