Glad to know that it worked for you. Well-done! The size of pineapples fruits depends on the size of the plant before flowering. Once they flower not much can be done. However, applying potassium nitrate fertilizer can help to some extent.
@@aceautomatioinengineers2550 it depends on the variety. If Your. Variety does produce slips, you can cut the fruit stalk as low as you can. This will stimulate pup growth. If there're slips on the stalk, you can let the stalk grow more and harvest them to start your next plants. After harvesting slips then cut back the stalk to let the pups grow if they've not already started growing.
@@dr_obisgarden : i have no idea about the variety and if it will produce slips. It's a pineapple that I grew from the crown of a pineapple that we purchased at the supermarket

Hello from Australia, will those plants with a number of pups on the long stem will they produce a new pineapple when you cut the big one off from the top?
The pups at the base of the fruit or along the fruit stalk should be removed and replanted in different containers. The pups within leaf axils can grow to produce fruits on the mother plant. If there are more pups, you can break some off to start new plants.

If you can't buy professional fertilizer, your best bet is to make your own compost. In an apartment Getting a compost bin will be useful to prevent the stench from irritating your neighbors. I'm developing a very simple and easy to make liquid fertilizer and Will share the video once it's completed and I'm satisfied with my tests. Stay tuned.
You can get a ripened banana 2or 3 close to going bad.and water to a jar put banana in it let sit for a couple days.Shake first and poor near root or spray on the plant it self.
