So that number between the 2 shows men made more in a year. It doesn't account for hours and days or professions worked, just a total of all. Men usually work longer days and weekends while women take time off for family stuff more. So that right here is why it looked like there was a gap. They need to redo this survey and account for days and hours worked, plus profession. Then women would see that they make more than men on an average. This wage gap shit is strategic and meant to cause shit. If women actually looked into the "survey" they would know that its not if women make the same as men "per hour" because they fucking do. The survey is about a total of money made. Its that men work more hours than women.That's the underlying reason

My point is, that beautystandards are fed by people making money of them, and here it was classically the woman beeing preyed on, but the male counterparts are catching up. Beautystandards pressure people into behavior they would normally not show (not all people give in, but sure enough do). That is the same for women giving in to the societal pressure of strict dresscodes as well as for dudes thinking to must have big muscles to be attractive.
To be frank, it is more or less a coincidence, that an athletic (or sometimes overtrained) bodyutopia has become the way to profit from male insecurity. But it is the case.
