Got to bowl with Fancois Lavoie at a Pro/Am a couple weeks ago and just a wonderful guy to talk to and pick his brain. THANK YOU for being approachable. I did also have to get my 30 seconds with Patrick as he was one of the main reasons for making the trek from Wisconsin (wish I had more time). On topic: The Vibe will be in my bag this summer it's everything my game is about. Need to find something to replace my 'tank' Zen as it's just not enough anymore
Been rolling the absolute power. Been my current favorite. Just got my wife a Widow 3.0. 107 avg and shot a 214 yesterday. Got her dialed in with some angle

Good reviews! Love Exotic Gem! Bowled 207, 221, and 253 on Tuesday. Love this ball! And really a lower price point ball.

Great video and very useful info. However, my favorite ball company is currently Motiv. But Storm and Hammer are a close runner-up.

I still miss my main 3 piece combo from Columbia 300. Pure Physics, Ransom Demand, and the Dark Encounter. Those 3 were fantastic when I bowled

My Arsenal is old besides the pink panther and the Twist but are my favourite balls I still use today in league is: AMF Green mamba, AMF The Heist, either Lane 1 Pink Panther Pearl or Columbia 300 High Speed, Brunswick Twist, spare ball is a Clear Ebonite Werewolf

Ive been looking for a decent review on the arctic vibe. I'm new to bowling and its my 3rd ball. So far I love it, I also throw the Jackal Ghost that I love. But if you say the vibe is a good ball then that's all I need to hear lol

I'm still using a Brunswick zone from the mid 90s 😂 looking at the Arctic Vibe though it's a great looking ball.

When I bowled years ago, my arsenal consisted of a Nitro and a Black Pearl Rhino for spares. Both 16 pounds. With all the options there are now, I am afraid to pick bowling back up. 14, 15, or 16 pound. 1 handed or 2 handed. Then trying to pick the actual ball out of 100s of options.
Hammer Effect after about 10 games on it really settled in and is my first ball out of bag. Widow 3.0 comes in close to my number 1 right now but not quite with my Effect, even though the 4th game I threw with that 3.0 was a solid 300....Effect...279 after like 20 games lol.
Would you recommend copying your Arctic Vibe drill layout for a two-hander? Looks similar to how my Ocean Vibe is drilled.
Good video. I got the Outer Limits pearl and loving it. Big time skid flip and hits like a truck.
Still slinging the Double Cross, as haven’t really found a need for the new Black Pearl.
I got a Hammer Nu Blu a few months ago and love it. Haven't shot a 700 series in about 6 years but with the Nu Blu, I've shot two of them recently, a 712 and a 728.
Not bad for an old guy with only a 195 league average. 🙂

I bowl on typical house lanes I have a proton physix as of now and it’s a good ball but the heavy cover stock starts burning up oil fast what ball do you guys recommend to get for a second ball?

Depends if you want asymmetrical or symmetrical, a small step down or a huge step down. A small step down would be like a DNA coil or attention star for asyms. For syms there's the phaze 2, optimum idol, or summit peak.
heheheheHA! I bought the Magic Gem exotic 14lbs for $250 & Don't can't use it vary often cuz I throw too dam slow. I'm going to try my plastic balls polyester again. they are nicer to me because they don't hook as much but ALL balls will hook from board 1 to the gutter NO matter what ball I throw: I guess from 10 to 16 MPH is not fast enough! I have over 40 bowling balls now. gees I tried the Magic 14lb NOT being perlized & could NOT get it to skid out far enough. he drilled it with the pin about 2" up from rig finger. when I did get it out far enough the dam thing would do a left turn so then I had him fill & re-drill it so the pin was lower then my rig finger & had him perlize it. then I can slide or skid it out so it does act like a normal long curving hook ball without the left turn SNAP in hook. I have a 14lb mix he said it did not matter where the pin was until I brought it back for a fill & re-drill because it was flatting out just before the pins then after he filled & re-drilled it to my other 12lb mix where the pin was an inch above the rig finger it STOPPED the flatting out before the pins! I'm going to see how my polyester plastic balls do now that I have changed everything I do in bowling because I'm sick of ending with a 168 & 175 avg bowling CRAP! I am now a 3 stepper! with the 4 step I did my whole bowling life I was out of timing /sink too much! 3 steps is QUICKER. you can see all my open bowling marathon videos on rumble with a search of The Brooklyn Crusher that's over 210 videos now. I just picked up the 8-10 for the first time this Friday in Glow ball heheheheheHA! it was great. I use my 14lb Mix with a thumb str8 ball for pick ups. I make all great pick ups like this 8-10 pick up on its own 5 min video. like the big4 & many other pick ups like the outside & inside pick ups of the 5-10 & the 5-7. an inside pick up is where your ball takes out both pins as the outside is where the pin takes out the other pin. I did both with a 6lb mix un-drilled too.

IMHO, all Storm brands balls are expensive junk. Just shortly after their one year warranty, I’ve had 5 Storm balls crack all around from the finger to the thumb holes. I had them all stored indoors in ball cups on plastic shelves in sealed plastic bags. I haven’t had any Brunswick brands crack.

I’m doing everything right that is recommended for ball storage and obviously just Storm balls are failing not any of the other brands. I spoke with a few pro shop owners and they all said that Storm balls made during Covid and shortly afterwards are known to be junk.

20 storm balls in, no cracks. Hell, I leave them in the car for days at a time sometimes. You not doing something right

I bowl only SPI balls but really only throw from the 900 Global line. That brand seems more quality than quantity. New Storm balls are just way overpriced. Their 2 latest pieces are $190 and $200 for low-mid range balls. It's insane. So all I do now is wait for a ball I may like to get to discontinue like the Eternity and picked up a $200 for $125.

(or do you come in through the back door?) Hey Packy go outside of the front door at your current bowling house your bowling at right now & read the sign on the front door it will say NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK ALLOWED! I guess you smoke inside too then cuz AS of 2009 that is NOT allowed either (it was the BEST sign I ever saw at a bowling alley when I came back to bowling in April of 2021 after I was gone from April of 2007) that was one thing I always HATED about bowling was the smoking inside! I could NOT believe my eyes when I first walked into the bowling alley = a NO SMOKING!! sign. I smelled like smoke for days after bowling I could barley stand myself!! I am the Brooklyn Crusher I have NEVER smoked ANYTHING, drank or did your drugs! I can't stand to be around smokers & weed smoker they are the WORST! its 10 times the tar & the smoke STINK! Kids if your reading this: I have ALWAYS had this vary HEALTHY life style & is probably why I can bowl over 100 str8 games even at my age as of 6-19-2024 I will be 66. I was born when the PBA was crated 6-19-1958! I am the Brooklyn Crusher!
