This is absolutely beautiful! This must be my 5th time watching this. Out of curiosity, what time of day did you see the spider monkeys? Also, did you see them on your own or on the free morning walk?
Thanks! :) we saw spider monkeys pretty much every time of day but we spent quite a few days there all in. I was going out just after sunrise for filming most mornings but a lot of the best footage here was middle of the day when a group passed really close to the restaurant while we were having lunch!
@@lukegriffiths Thank you so much for answering my questions. I hope to go to Arenal Observatory Lodge some time in the not-too-distant future. Again, your footage is absolutely amazing.
The Observatory Lodge is quite a bit higher than the town of La Fortuna so there aren't many or any sloths in their forest, that is why the staff guide told us. You can find sloths at lower elevations closer to town. The most sloths that we saw in CR was in the seaside town of Tortuguero, though we spent quite a bit more time there anyway.
This was so good to watch, Luke! Gorgeous filming
Cheers Alasdair!

Did you not see sloths?

@@lukegriffiths there were at least three, one with a baby, on the ground of Arenal Manoa Resort :)
