My missus is an ex nurse. She's a carer and has a couple of old folk she visits who have decided to move into a care home. It's going to cost them £1,600 per week for the two of them. Normally it would be £1,600 EACH. But because the home is only 2/3rds full, they've reduced the cost. And this is a private care home like most are. It has 40 rooms. So do the maths if it was for a single occupancy. £1,600 per person x 40 rooms x 52 weeks in a year. For that care homes yearly income. £3,328,000. And I bet that the running of that place is less than £500,000 per year.

He's a lucky one it was denied, would've ended up in some hostel/brothel with the worst of society while your non eu arrival will receive a full house to look after their children all paid for, by the tax payer. (They also go home once awarded with a highly needed house) No consequences.
