The note durations, legato and staccato, of the bass is freaking perfect. Combined with the glissando and pitch bends, stutters, this is master level synth playing.

Mate, what's going on? Why are you such an obscure presence on the internet with only 345 subscribers when you're responsible for four of the most absolutely incredible video game covers of all time? I've heard so many covers and remakes that either miss the essence of the original or don't hit hard enough. Yours are perfection on every level and I want to hear more. Get a patreon going dude, I'd pay good money.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I do have some older a little less refined remixes on remix64 under my handle TmX. Old mod and xm files also float around the net under that handle. Unfortunately I don't have too much spare time these days and i work full time as plumber too 😅
This would work perfectly in the new remake of ss1. It's slower and more creepy feeling which suits the remake while still keeping the rhythm of the original
This is fantastic work, thank you! I usually chafe at ‘higher resolution’ covers, but everything about this is so beautifully judged. It chimes with the soul of the original; the Numam-ish pop synth inflections after the break are surprisingly delightful, I love that consummate lift and the way the NIN-style industrial funk crunches back in. Masterful! 👏
2:31 This part of the track lives rent free in my mind. My ADHD brains loves it and two years after discovering it I still can play it in my head 🎉 It’s like pure energetic positive ecstasy!
IMO, the Executive and Security tracks are the best from the _remake_ soundtrack specifically, but I believe this is the best from the original game's soundtrack
@@amansizedduck This guy should've scored the entire soundtrack in this style. I mean, there's nothing wrong with low-key music for exploration, but this would have been awesome kicking up in combat.
I miss that punch in the guts original SS1 music always give me, in the new SS1 remake. In the remake, up to now, music sound more like background music, no punch at all. Great job!
Have you sent this to the developers of the system shock remake and the developers of System Shock 3 ? It is so awesome! Should be included at least in the System Shock remake!
I'm actually more interested in this anything else. How come tje sound composition and style fits so well? It is like hearing the original artist behind the old version what would happen if the had access to modern technology. This one of best remixes composed. You invoke totally.
The developer of the remake played this song during one of their recent livestreams. th-cam.com/video/Gp2gcBjpMjE/w-d-xo.html if you wanna check it out, near the beginning before video starts.
main ost will be more like other games with the orcastral music, but a remix of the original os is supposed to be added as an unlockable/changeable setting. (done by celldweller, a god of music)
I feel like this this remix could remove any amount of radiation from my body. Even if i were making selfie with "elephant foot" in Chernobyl. Just perfect. If i only could put this in original System shock game instead of original reactor version.

I sure wish more people made covers of System Shock songs, but hey, at least we have this absolutely stellar one! SO GOOD!
Man I wish I could hear your music in the new remake😢
Energy Systems/Reactor goes way harder than it has any right to, and you pushed it even further beyond.
It's beautiful.
This is the best remix I've ever heard. It's like the ideal remix. I wish the reboot has music like this
Wouldn't say that one is more faithful. This one sounds more like what I would imagine it would be in HQ; this one is much better.

I agree that this should definitely be included in the remake. Somebody should refer the artist to Night Dive.
@4 The Moment Studios Id also like to know. SS2 is one of my all-time-favs but the first game is just too dated. Or is it?
@@ULTRAOutdoorsman the music theyre using as of rn seriously takes a large chunk of charm out of the game 😢

The 2023's remake's version of this was good, but a bit less pronounced. I would have liked to hear this beast in the game. Amazing job with this!
This is rad.
It's so rad I have the rad sickness,
This...is actually the best remix of Reactor that I've heard, won't lie.
Words cannot express how much I love this.
Got sent here by a review of the System Shock remake. Boulder Punch, I believe. Definitely a new favorite! Fantastic job!

Absolutely the best cover of a system shock track ever
