found this after reminiscing today about the 504 pickup my uncles had in Nairobi Kenya......could quite fancy one now...
I could use one of those. Easy enough to drive and practical.
That is in fantastic condition, FY is an old Merseyside area registration ( Southport ) 👍
Got a couple of these .. one with only 26k miles .. runs great but been standing so not in such good condition.. that one looks fantastic 👍👍

Love it! Is that belt flutter normal on these or is it something that needs attention?
The belt definitely needs changing, I should have a selection of belts arriving today at my local motor factors.
For an F reg 1988/89 it is in surprisingly good condition. Have you had a look underneath for rust?
It's not bad underneath, it's had a few patches of welding around the bed, inner sills and floor and doesn't look to require any other welding at the moment. Mot is booked for Friday so will see how it goes.
I love it, i just diesel swapped my 504 wagon with the 2.1 diesel, yours looks like the 2.3 isn't it?
It's a 2.3 with the 4 speed box, it drives well but feels like it needs another gear.
@@Retroshite nice, i believe the BA7/5 speed is a straight swap so you can use it

Is the flatbed removable?
I dont think it is removable, it appears to be welded onto the chassis.
