In today's video i'm rebuilding a Honda Eu2000i and in the process i'm documenting everything that needs to be done for future use if anybody wanted to see how I did it. To pull the flywheel off the honda generator is actually pretty easy you just need to be careful that you don't drive the puller bolts into the stator and make sure the stator bolts are removed before you start.

For those having trouble, it's because the flywheel has a taper inside where it meets a matching taper on the crankshaft. That's a very common way of centering flywheels on small engines. When have tightened the center bolt of your puller, it often helps to put a slight upward pressure on the flywheel from below. You're not trying to pry it off but you want it pull up on it with more than your finger tips. Now strike the top of the center puller bolt with a hammer. This attempts to push the crankshaft out of the flywheel. When it moves even the smallest amount it will be free because of the tapered fit.

Interesting the stator comes off with it . Never seen a design like that . Screwdriver pried under the flywheel and hitting the crank with a hammer would be a bad idea forsure 😅
