I thank God for listening to His voice. I used to work 7 days a week. He told me to stop working on Sundays (though a sermon), hours that didn't even affect my Sunday services. I arrived at work and informed my co-workers, "My Daddy told me to stop working on Sundays." God, give us time to rest. I use that day to worship Him. He's been more than good to me. I honor Him for that!

Amen! You’ll get sick or lose those around you, and regret all you didn’t take time out to do. I’m in that phase now. Working with the ability to rest and take time out for what’s important to me. It came at a price, working all of those years for what? To miss out on LIVING, not just existing.
If this aint the truth....i was working 2 jobs, going to school, and working on hobbies....i literally passed out one day. i was in my mid 20s at the time. I worked out too. I prioritized rest after that...A day for myself each week and i meditate in the early morning. Never took advantage of rest again

Just because you may be able to walk around doesn't mean that you are not dead on the inside from being disconnected from the life in you & the Creator. Can an oven cook food if it's unplugged? No. Rest, stopping, stillness, unplugging gives you the gift of life in ways you haven't experienced before. There are 7 types of rest. A great book to read or listen to is 'Sacred Rest' by Sandra Dalton-Smith.**** This was a life-changing book for me. I hope it is for you too. Get your life back. You are worthy to live it, not just exist in it.
