I love seeing your progress. You are so kind those are beautiful gifts! I absolutely love them all. I have never seen a stitching mat, but it’s a great idea.
Thanks so much! Stitching mats were quite new to me too but aren't they a great idea? It was fun to make too. I'll have to make myself one before my next retreat. Happy Stitching :)
You are such a kind and thoughtful friend. The bag and mat are stunning! Another wonderful video and thoroughly enjoy keeping up with them. Merry Christmas 🎄
Thanks! Your comment was so lovely it really made me smile. The bags and mat did turn out well and were fun to sew. Those video tutorials were so good! I'll have to make some more in the new year. Hope you're having a lovely December and a Merry Christmas to you too :)
Thanks so much! I know the display board makes such a difference to seeing the fabrics and stitching. I'm very thankful it was sent to me :) Hope you're enjoying your December stitching too!
Thanks so much! It was fun to sew at my machine again and the tutorials I followed to make them were amazing! The calendar is getting there. I'm really enjoying looking at it as I stitch. Happy Stitching :)
Thanks so much! That's so lovely of you to say. They were wonderful at video tutorials I followed to make them and I've put the details of them down in the video description :)
It was amazing!! Rho and I talked and talked about cross-stitch and the time just flew. We just need to bring the US and Australia closer so we can all meet up :)
I'm excited too and I can't wait to get back Yule Goddess! I'm so glad you like your gifts! One day when the kids are all grown up and we have all day every day to stitch lol :)
Your bags came out awesome. I am going to try and stitch one for myself next year hopefully in January. I have never sewn a zipper in anything so we will see how it goes and I will be watching Elizabeth Ann Can Stitch video. Wish me luck. Happy Stitching.
Elizabeth Ann's video is fantastic!! If you have a zipper foot for your machine it goes like a breeze. You just have to remember to move your needle right over to the side of the zipper foot so you don't break a needle...like I always do lol. Good luck and happy stitching to you too :)
There are twelve days of Christmas so you aren't a bit behind! You can recuperate and enjoy your holidays! Stitch at your leisure! :D I am curious as to whether the total stitch count is for each leg of the cross stitch or if "cross stitch count" means completed cross stitches...I don't have Pattern Keeper (or a gadget)! Best wishes!
Thanks! I used to work in quilting shops so I have quite a stash. The Australiana fabrics are M&S Textiles ones from about 10 years ago. Some of their designs have changed now but they still have beautiful ones. And the lovely houses and quilts fabric panel, I was given from my Granny's fabrics. Yes, Elizabeth Ann has the most amazing tutorials! They are fun and easy to follow :)

@ I’m behind on the Christmas calendar as well but I’m enjoying stitching it when I do. It does seem to be the only thing I get to work on though 🤣
@@mandybrack1708 I know it takes over a bit. I can't believe those motifs are so dense but they are so cute as well :)

Thanks so much! That sounds absolutely delicious! So glad you're enjoying your December making :)
@adelaidestitches ❤️
I did the penguin yesterday. It turned out great! I hope to have this done by next Christmas.
Wow good job! I'm still working on the penguin but he a fun jolly chap. That is my goal too. Happy Stitching :)

@adelaidestitches Thanks for the tip. I appreciate it.
You don’t have snow in Australia so no snow is fine it you want to keep it a bit ‘regional’. It’s looking great!
Thanks! I like your take on it. I had someone suggest maybe some red dirt would be more appropriate for Australia too :)

That is a lovely way to look at it and what I'll do! Christmas is such a busy time. Any stitching is a win :)
What lovely project bags. What fabric did you use? I’m sure it wasn’t from Spotlight😅. Yes, I love Elizabeth Ann can stitch too.
