Great cards, John! I am ecstatic that Brooks Robinson is up next on the docket. I would say he's my favorite all-time Baltimore Orioles even though Cal Ripken is of our generation.
I don't yet possess the 57 Campy, but I do have the other 4 on my list. Do you ever wonder who's the solitary person sitting in the stands in the 51 Bowman card? A Brooklyn fan who showed up early for the photo session in hopes of autographs? A hot dog vendor resting up before the game? A scout for the other team? Honorable mention: A dealer sent me a 2022 Topps card as a bonus on a Koufax purchase (the other side of the battrery, you know) and I really like it. Roy is clutching a bundle of three or four bats in his big hands and flashing his prize-winning grin. But here's my five: 5. 1957 4. 1952 Bowman 3. 1956 2. 1953 1. 1951 Bowman: The action, tracking a foul pop, even if staged, elevates it past the 53 in my eyes.
I want to say someone thought it was a young Vin Scully sitting in the stands behind Campy on his 51 Bowman card. But I don't know if that's been proven. I love those modern cards with hall of fame players. I started a collection of them, but haven't bought any in a while. Thanks for your Campy selections!
My top 5 within the basic set registry are: 1. 1951 Bowman 2. 1950 Bowman 3. 1952 Bowman 4. 1953 Topps 5. 1955 Bowman. But my favorite cards of him are outside the basic set registry. They are the 1953 Stahl-Meyer and 1954 Wilson Franks.
53 Stalled Meier is on my list also. We can’t buck the PSA registration though. The 52 Jerk Ross is pretty sweet too I guess I’m a sucker for that pose
Yes, it usually does. One of the 4 grading areas besides centering, corners, and edges is the surface. If there is some paper loss or wax/gum stains on the back of the card it gets dinged on the grade (probably gum/wax stains much less than if there is some paper loss). As for market value or collector interest, I don't think gum or wax stains put most people off (including myself). In fact, I'm sure some collectors like them on the card since it tells a story (where the card was in the pack).
the other ones are better than the 1953 the catchers mask coming off a fan in the background , the B on the hat every thing you said about number 3. 1953 topps is nice just not like the other 2 just my opinion. my list 5. 1953 topps 4. 1953 Bowman nice card 3. 1952 Topps 2.. 1951 bowman 1. 1956 topps gotta love 1956 cards player on the card and best action cards for that time period.
Thanks for your selections. His Wilson Franks, while a great looking card, is not on PSA's basic registry set, so that wasn't one of my possible selections.

Great cards, John! I am ecstatic that Brooks Robinson is up next on the docket. I would say he's my favorite all-time Baltimore Orioles even though Cal Ripken is of our generation.
Thanks Andrew! It's going to be a tough decision with Brooks to select my favorite ones.
Good stuff. I forgot to list my Feller cards, but 1953 would be #1. I'll post a Campanella cards list later
Thanks Russel!
Nice selection of Campys and beautiful card you have. For Brooks looking foreword to seeing where you put his 1958 card! 😂
Likely 1 on the not top 5. Lol.
Thanks Mark! I don't think you'll be seeing his 58 on my Top 5. 😂
Agreed Andrew. 😃

John, do gum stains in the reverse of a card affect the PSA value (or market value) in your experience?
Yes, it usually does. One of the 4 grading areas besides centering, corners, and edges is the surface.
