  • Hi, everyone! I have had some problems lately with cracking and crazing. So, I started researching the causes and trying to determine what is causing mine. During this bloom techique, I controlled the paint consistency by using the Soby recipe for all but the base coat. It is a 1:1 combo of Decoart Satin Enamel and Artist Loft White thinned with a little water.
My problem improved but persisted somewhat. I believe the issue now is I left too much paint on the canvas. If this video was useful to you, please like and subscribe.
I am posting the link to the Soby Art Academy. If you check it out using my link, I will receive a small commission. Thanks so much!!!

Yes I have had this happen to me a few times, for me I think my paints were too thick and some were too thin. It gives an interesting textured look to the painting, but it's also annoying if we want a smooth finish. Yes too much paint left on canvas can cause cracks, this also happened to me. Fluid art isn't as easy as it looks that's for sure. Still learning and experimenting. Thanks for your video 😊🎉

Thank you so much for your reply! Fluid art isn't easy and I am finding that out. It is also VERY messy!
