You should've painted the engine part silver. But great good. I love these videos. I'm this type of person that likes to take things apart and out it back together. I learned to work on electronics and cars this way.

Those metal parts needed to be sand blasted! Using only paint stripper and sand paper alone won't work. Then needed to be primed wet sanded then painted. Maybe some Bondo to fill in the pits smooth things out.
