Dare I say this, Emarosa was talented with Jonny and still is with Bradley. Jonny Craig put out two stellar records with this band and is still reaching new heights with Slaves. Both bands are good I love this song I love Slaves, its time to stop making music a competition folks its petty and stupid. Just shut up, sit back, relax, and enjoy

I can't get over how divine this is. The soothing and graceful melodies compliment the lyrics so much and I'm blown away by the new singer as well. Emarosa is back, baby.
This is definitely going to be one of the top upcoming albums of 2014!

One band, three different vocalists, still my favorite at all.
I enjoy all Emarosa has put out. But i think this is my favorite so far. Just my opinion.

Yeah besides the vocals sounding similar, I don't hear much that's the same. That's just me. But nVr, Issues is great if you like R&B mixed with that nu-metal feel. Actually I think it would just be considered Nu-Metal. Anyway yeah check em out!
For anyone still comparing Emarosa and Slaves just listen to the two singers writing abilities. I love Jonny but the dude can hardly write a good hook or melodies anymore, I honestly believe DGD and Emarosa brought out the best in him. Now with the two Emarosa tracks its not just a singer trying to just sing to impress hes constructing his vocal patterns to fit the diversity of the song. People forget that a frontmans talent doesn't just come from great singing

You guys wanna get technical about this? Alright. I prefer Chris Rotter over Jonny. He WAS the original singer ya know? But people seemed to get over that fact with Jonny. So i'm over the fact Jonny is gone and Bradley is in. In my opinion, Bradley fits better. This and Toast to The Future Kids are my favorite Emarosa songs. I'm glad Bradley is in the band. I'm gonna jam this album more than I did any of the other ones i'm sure.

I like bradly he aint bad. Im not overly impressed yet though. Slaves blew me away though.
MrCaseHarts I honestly haven't listened to much Slaves. 3 songs mainly. Not that I don't like it, it's just I haven't taken the time to listen to it. Jonny is an amazing singer and always has been.

I really like Emarosa, and Slaves. I think they both have something going for them. Emarosa's new sing is extremely talented and I think he brings so much to the table as far as writing goes to take this band to a new level. I also really like Slaves' record. Jonny is super talented and I think that having the guitarists from Hearts & Hands with their unique approach to guitar brings the band as a whole new level. Loved Slaves ' record overall, and I'm stoked to hear more from Emarosa.
I had to laugh that Rise Record's is promoting Sleeping With Sirens with If You Can't Hang and not their new garbage album.
Even Rise knows Feel was shite.
Because it's rises all time selling track.
I like this new singer cause he can actually hit high notes rather than getting all raspy from straining his voice and he doesn't feel the need to flutter his vibrato all over the place constantly. Sometimes, a nicely sustained note is just what you need, this guy gets it. Super stoked for this album.

I don't know anything about old Emarosa or Jonny Craig, but this song is amazing. I think people need to stop comparing this to whatever Emarosa used to be and appreciate this song for what it is.

Bradley sings with a lot of power and passion, but to me doesn't sound like he can top that soulful sound that Jonny produced. I still love the new Emarosa though.

Jonny is good but every song he does sounds the same. It's good for Emarosa to branch out. If you notice, every song from Slaves sounds like every song Jonny has done before. Glad Bradley has changed it up a bit. This is the best stuff they've done.

Stephan Smith i would say that and that i feel all his creativity and lyrics stayed with Emarosa. His songs with them were his deepest songs is what it seems

Bradley is better then both. Craig and Carter are both talented but there talent is way to over exaggerated by there fans

This guy is totally a good singer. I am a huge jonny craig fan since the first time I saw him live in 2006 because his live performances were unreal. But this seems like a cool direction for what emarosa is geared for. Jonny always shined the brightest when the guitar work was less power chord driven, sort of how he brought the RnB soul to Dance gavin dance in the breaks of those songs. If this band had never had that period with jonny I think people would agree that the singer is clearly talented. Its just geared for a different audience.

What's with all the hate? I have no history with this band or didn't know who Jonny Craig was a few weeks ago. I was looking for some heavier music but without uncleans, trying to expand my library I guess, and find some good music with powerhouse vocals leading them, with like this exceptional range and ability.
A friend mentioned Slaves, so I picked up their album, I'm hooked and looked into JC's previous work with this band, listened to Relativity and I enjoyed it thoroughly, and now I've been listening to Versus with this new vocalist. They're both fantastic!
Yeah obviously Jonny has a bigger fanbase and more years under his belt I suppose but why knock this new guy? He's filling big shoes and doing awesome at it, so let Slaves be Slaves, and Emarosa be Emarosa, no need to fight over who is superior, when both are incredible!

Anyway I'm literally obsessed with this band. The first song I heard was MAD, then I heard We Are Life and I didn't even know the songs were sung by two different people until I looked at the comments. Even then I was confused. This band sounds great regardless

At this point i don't see why Rise continues to sign any band or release any music because everyone is always put them (band and or Rise) down with band and or video release. I would honestly love 95 % of the bands on Rise past or present. I hope to work with such a great Record company. I think this a great release from a band that I love from before Jonny. I still can't get over how great "This Is Your Way Out" was.

As much as I liked Bradley in Squid the Whale, he will never be able to replace Jonny in Emarosa. Damn. He even wanted to come back and they turned him away. Biggest mistake they could have made if you ask me. I know it's a "selling your soul to the devil" kinda thing, but I'll be damned if it wouldn't have been worth it. Hell, I'd take Chris Roetter, because he was always my favorite with this band.
I hope Bradley can pull this off live. He tried to do "The Past Should Stay Dead" and he just couldn't keep up; he sang only half of the words in the entire song.
It's fantastic. But i agree it'll never be like the previous two releases. You have to realize though that They had a different singer and were in different stages of their life. Now that they're older and the circumstances have changed we will never get the old emarosa. So everyone get over it
There was a video i seen of Bradley singing A Toast to The Future Kids! and i honestly feel they shouldn't play any of their old music anymore. Bradley is a GREAT singer and this song proves it but he can't mimic what Jonny did with Emarosa.I understand Chris was the original vocalist but Jonny took them to whole new levels and i feel that's a good reason it took them awhile to come out with new music but that might just be me. I do see Bradley raising the bar a bit buti won't take away from the old Emarosa at all

I find a more mellowed sound in Slaves overall compared to Emarosa (with Jonny), and honestly that's what I want from JC. My beef was with Squid The Whale, and how much I didn't like that sound in any aspect. So it took me a while to trust Emarosa, but after these first two tracks I'm sure we'll be okay. I love this song especially, even though it's missing the most awesome guitar complexities that apparently you need in every/any song to make it worth listening to. Solid A+ shit bros.
