I bought the 2024 Torch Red base model 1LT for $65,900. About a month after I bought it I saw a dealer selling it for $65,100...oh well. When I discovered that one could be had for such a low price, I drained my savings account and got it. At 77 1/2 years old, I simply love this Car. First Vette I've ever owned.
I just ordered my 2024 1LT with the only option being the forged black wheels. At the cheapest level with no add on its a real bargain bang for the buck.
I ended up canceling that order when I found the same combo on a dealership showroom. I bought the one that was in stock no wait. Paid under 80k out the door.
I believe MSRP is like 70k for the base nodel but then I think you have destination fee, dealer fee and whatever else is included. I have heard none actually sell at MSRP. Best deal is probably the employee pricing for those who work for Chevrolet. I think immediately family members are included.
You Need the Z51 if you live in hot states like Texas like I do !!! I had a 2022 C8 1lt and it would constantly overheat, so I sold it and bought another 2022 C8 Z51 and the Z51 Is a much Better car and it rarely overheats even in Texas !!! ;)
I was at a dealership the other day getting my camaro inspected.. asked to sit in the 24 3LT they have for sale... all I can say is holy f.. it's amazing. So easy to get in and out of vs the camaro. And the seats! It just sucks you in and snuggles in all the right places. 😁
Why do you need the z51 package if you aren't tracking it ? Unless you are ... I know I'm not . And the car is super smooth already and many people with Mag Ride , say they don't feel the difference anyway . Id rather skip both those options and upgrade to a 2LT .
Very nice. Mine order was just produced. I was debating the XPEL on the front . Also debating the extended warranty . It’s not expensive The tire and wheel package is a must.
Wow, this car is amazing!! It’s like you’re sitting in a cockpit. I’ve never seen a car with the buttons for the A/C and etc designed in a straight line…amazing design. My dream car is Dodge Charger..but this car..I’m starting to like too😊, thanks for sharing this video
Hey great video. Did you get the performance exhaust? And with getting the 1LT do you feel the blind spot is necessary or does the rear view camera help with blind spots?
Performance exhaust is an absolute must. I personally have a 2023 without either of them and haven't had any problems. It's all preference. The mirror does help though.
A couple things: your camera work is UNSTEADY! Hold still or use a gimble. If you discuss things like wheels- actually hold the camera so we can see the wheel for more than 1/4 of a second plz. (Also they’re brake calipers Not calibers). Keep going though. Your vids are getting better.
Reportedly the non Z51 can’t make it for more than a few laps at a track day without overheating. If this is true, what a travesty that GM is selling America’s only true sports car that costs more than $69,000 that can’t do a track day like a common GTI/GLI. What a joke that people seem to accept this…

Nice man. May I ask what dealer you bought it from?
2 LT is a must.
Drained all your savings? Not smart.
@@MrMustangrick He's 77 y/o bro. Let the man live. Also 2LT is definitely not a must.
@@MrMustangrick Judge much?

Slightly upgrading to a 2LT is the best choice in my opinion without breaking the bank while also having added necessary safety features.
Of course! Everyone has the preference of options and equipment that they like.
The issue is $$$$. Upgrading from a 1LT vs. 2LT is 10% more than the price of a 1LT
2024 has more safety options like the rear view camera on the 1LT, definitely do not need a higher trim
@@Forever.Remain.Nameless The 1LT doesn’t have blind-spot monitoring. But you do you. I prefer being safe as possible.
@@Forever.Remain.Nameless They added that camera view to the mirror? Great move. That is a real solid update.
I was SHOCKED how sharp the car was without the Z51. Unless you plan to track it you really do not need it. 😁
Right!

This is an excellent review, thanks for posting.
I just got mine. 1LT with Z51 and mag ride. I think those are more important than the tech from 2LT.

Also with z51 you are getting summer only tires . So that means spending more money on all seasons for non summer months
If you are tracking the car I can absolutely agree. Myself I am not so its not a must for me.
That color is beautiful man!

Glad you enjoyed it!
Great job on your review! You blew past 10K, btw, NICE!
What a beauty!
Yes it is!!
1LT went from $59K in 2020 to $69K in 2024.
Yikes
No sale.
I am drivine 2022 3LT convertable. but I think 1LT is still looks good, and equipped many nice option
Back at it again with another banger 🔥
Of course 💥💥
That color is sweet!!!!
@@birdiephelan yes sir!! Love it.
Correction - you can get the HUD on the Stingray in the 2LT and 3LT models.
Thats correct. I did mention that.
Lots of car for the money👍🏻👍🏻 red mist, beautiful color
Have you felt you needed the front lift option capability at all for this car? Thanks for the informative vid.
Personally I have no a whole lot. I do have a couple scuffs on the front splitter though.
Thanks@@ChevyCLE
Had my C8 for almost a yr now and only scraped maybe twice, I wld say it's not necessary......

Good video... 👍 👍
Great video
A 1LT in Riptide Blue with none of those appearance options sitting on the lot would bring in the buyers. Then you can sell them a 2LT Z06.
Lost the flag in the speaker grill in 24 as well. A little bit of a bummer
How long does it take to order one exactly the way you want and get it delivered?
I ordered mine August 14th. It will be delivered to my dealer Saturday the 28th. I hope to pick it up the following Monday, so less than 7 weeks.
are these good daily drivers??
I have heard that from many that they are.

Looks like a maintenance nightmare.
I've watched a few owner reviews, and it's not thatttt bad
Well it is a GM so………
Least expensive? Got my 2024 1lt with carbon fiber grounds effect package for 75k with registration and fees included total was like 85k lmao
Soft close trunk or fronk, you mean like Cadillac had in the 70's?!

It makes sense considering maybe less that 1% of all c8's will see a track. The people who accept it don't even know they are.
So don’t buy one!
Eh
Meh
With that gaping mouth and chunky design, it looks more like a whale shark than a Stingray. A styling disaster wrapped around an engineering miracle.
