You can buy kpop albums from kpop sites like: catchopcd, ktown4u, kpoptown, kpopmart, yesasia etc... (There are more but these are just sites I have personally used myself)
You can also purchase them from ebay sellers. My favourite sellers are kpopmarket01 and grapemusicdd.
Lastly you can buy them on amazon which I personally don't use.
You can buy photocards from ebay or from other kpop fans that are trying to sell some photocards.
Some of my favourite ebay sellers are: myjilju, my5star and ther_korea.

I also wanted to add that when starting your K-pop collection, set rules for yourself. This is your collection. Do what's comfortable for you. So if you can only get one version of an album because of life, then so be it. You were able to get something from the group that you support. Don't put pressure on yourself thinking you have to have ALL THE THINGS. If you can only get one thing, get that one thing. You can always go back and fill in the rest at a later time.

Can definitely agree with the best, even though there’s a lot of versions and therefore can be expensive, the photobooks and cards really make the purchase worth it

It's definitely worth being patient with out of print albums. You never know when someone might look to downsize their collection or something. You can usually get even oop stuff at a good price in those instances. I ended up getting the special edition of Nu'est's second mini + a couple of other things I needed for my collection for less than what the special edition would normally sell for on it's own that way. You might still pay too much, but you'll still pay a better price than if you just bought them right away on impulse.
It's also important to not only have a good idea of what you want to collect, but also understand that what you want can change over time and that's okay too. Whether it be to collect more or less. It's much easier to manage and keep up to date with your collection when you know what you will/won't buy and can plan ahead.

Also a little tip for ebay: if you're buying multiple cards from one seller when you go to check out there's a 'request total' button for combined shipping so it brings down the price a bit and sometimes when you click that it gives you an error message saying the seller doesn't offer combined shipping and in that case I just send the seller a message and ask them directly and they're normally happy to do it :)

a good way to start collecting is looking at second hand/pre owned albums if they have the photocards or not if your not bothered about them
i managed to get twicetagam with an extra photocard and the preorder card set and the red by rv with a seulgi card who is my bias for less than 1 new album
a good place to look is depop and ebay 🥰

kimm ive had quite a few albums of groups that i dont listen to anymore that i got a few years ago because i lost interest in them, i managed to sell all of them and you can actually get quite abit for them so if you ever loose interest or dont want them anymore theres always someone who will want them!, also some albums become oop ( out of print ) after a while which means they become quite rare and expensive so i dont think they would turn to scrap :)

It’s definitely good to have advice for collecting K-Pop albums especially when it can become so easy to get overwhelmed with multiple versions and collecting for older groups who have oop or rarer items. Also you and your dog are too cute!~💞 regarding lightsticks I would suggest for someone to mainly focus on buying their ult or bias group’s ones and then if possible branch off into other groups you like
I actually watch your unboxings if I want to see which version I want esp for older albums. Your videos have been really helpful in my collecting journey :)

I started on collecting unsealed albums as tbh, I'm not really into collecting pcs. I just don't think they're VERY worth it. As of now, I've spent more or less *60 US dollars* or 3,000 php on 13 albums. 1 sealed (NCT DREAM HELLO FUTURE REPACKAGE album) and 12 unsealed albums. That includes the shipping fee too. I also got some from giveaways, in fact, I just received my B Carnival album yesterday from a giveaway on twitter.

I totally agree with what you said about the price difference (I’m Canadian too), I bought a day6 album a while ago and the original price was like 12 or 13 bucks. The final price with all the fees and shipping was like 35 bucks. It’s crazy but I love day6 and it was my first album so I guess it was worth it lol

I'm not new to kpop collectors tho since I've pretty much watched yours and other ppl's unboxing videos for a long time. I unknowingly have a mini collection of bts albums. I have 5 of them (Young Forever Day ver, YNWA Left ver, LY Her V ver, LY Tear Y ver and LY Answer S ver) and soon I will receive Map of the Soul : Persona Ver 2. It's funny how I stan bts since Skool Luv Affair but the first album that I have is Young Forever

I agree with your advice! Personally I collect albums of my two ultimate groups (GFRIEND & SNUPER) but I also buy other artists' albums that I really want to have~ For photocards I only collect my biases because I can't afford collecting more members from one group also I rarely buy cards I usually trade. The struggle is real when you like a lot of groups & can't decide who's your bias. Btw I love your videos 💕

i’m kinda on a roll with my loona albums atm but it’s so hard to collect as they have the 4 albums per group ot12 release and then 2 for sub units and usually those subunits have repackages. also since loona all have single debut albums and another album with another member of they have 2 single albums and i’m stressed

I recently bought two albums from CatchopCD, the first ones I ever bought online (since most of my albums were gifts and the ones I bought were from Fnac and a concert I went to.)
I bought ONEUS' Lights Up album for my best friend's birthday (i gattered some friends to divide the price) and NOIR's TOPGUN album as it was cheaper together with other album than alone and I really really want that album.
I have seen videos about CatchopCD and i hope my experience with then will be a nice one.

Thanks for the advice. I started a bit badly. Currently I am focusing on buying used albums because they are much cheaper even if something is missing. I mainly buy Shinee. Although it happens that I buy something I like, e.g. A.c.e., because they are my second group. However, I will actually be buying the newer edition. Although in fact I am buying whatever I can find cheap.

I only collect Stray Kids albums. If I want another album from another group I stan I only buy one version.

I've liked kpop since 2007 and I lived in a country where you couldn't find anything kpop related so I never thought about collecting. 10+ years later, and as multi fan, I bought my FIRST kpop album in late 2019 and your video helped me really set the rules I wanted for my collection. It's very hard because I want it all lol but thanks for sharing your experience! It's certainly addicting >.

Ugh I can relate with the spending part of it. I stan Loona and badly wanted to collect ot12 but I had to stick to just collecting my bias Vivi. I find that I only usually collect album photocards like I don’t go out of my way to try and collect Cashbee cards or Kinho cards. Collecting gets real addictive though, at least what I found. I got one thing and then I just want to keep buying. I guess the key is control. Anyway I collect Twice, Blackpink, Red Velvet, Loona, Weki Meki and Snsd.

think some people overlook that one thing that is a decent option if you want a lot of photocards and don't mind the trouble of reselling is to buy a bunch of copies of the album. It's not perfect--especially some shops seem to send out album that all have the same cards--but you can get them for cheaper per card than buying them one by one on ebay, you know they're legit cause you're pulling it, and you can resell the albums afterwards. There's some groups that are hard to collect cause there's not a lot of sellers, so I bought multiple albums and it ended up being more cost-effective. (and if you pull dupes you can often trade them to someone who wants that member and has one you're missing!) IF you don't mind taking your time it's a good option ;)

I collect woozi photocards, I wish I could collect all of it, any kind of card but I live in Brazil and some things are difficult to find and expensive to buy so I'm just focusing on regular korean cards because it's a bit easier, just a little because there are some cards that are extremely difficult to find and trade

I need some advice on space. I share a room with someone else and I have a shelf but it’s full of Harry Potter stuff which I don’t collect anymore. I wanted to know if I should go and sell that stuff or keep it on the shelf and keep my albums where they are or move it cause I have no room left on my bed frame
If you don't mind selling it and are short of space I'd go ahead and sell them, I'm doing the same since I live in a one room apartment now and all my closets and cabinets are full of albums and merch askfhjls which just isn't working, it also helps me focus on only the groups I'm keeping :)
