I believe the barrier is from a weapon called "Last Fencer". It has an ability called "Glory" that prevents Yuri from staggering"flinching" during his attacks.
This is why Kratos is a legendary Tales character. Shining Bind for the win. And I think it's awesome as hell that Cam Clarke returned to reprise one of my favorite roles. Can't wait to hear his awesome voice again in ToS: Dawn of the New World.
when you are in battle. Press back. you accidentally changed your mode to auto surelly. Pressing back will change it frm auto to manual then to semi-auto and then to auto and such.
Three skills. from the tyrant fist. High tension allows yuri to instantly enter overlimit 1 with 28 successive hits, in the same combo. Hyper Tenison allows overlimit 2 after 50 hits, or 22 more hits after high tension. Ultimate tension = 72 hits total and overlimit 3 is achieved. These overlimits however only have half the normal bar in duration.

Very few Tales of games are sequels or prequels of any other. Kratos is here because Tales of games do a lot of cameo apperences. They just like to show off their favorite older characters, so the threw Kratos in. (I'm just glad they got the same voice actor to do Kratos) But this game isn't directly involved with Symphonia as far as I've heard
dunno yet, I would need to enter the Dungeon again to see if Dhaos, Barbatos and Shizel can be found there. But my guess is that they are only in the Coliseum alongside with Kratos now.
No. It's twice Mania Mode. There's Normal (x1 enemy stats), Hard (x1.5 ES), Mania/Very Hard (x2 ES), and Unknown (x4 ES... or, in the US-version of Abyss, x3.5 ES). At least, this is how it is in Tales of the Abyss. With the inclusion of the Easy difficulty in Vesperia, I can't be certain. I'm going to guess it's (x0.5 ES).

But Duke has 3 things that Kratos doesn't have, Big Bang which is a mystic arte that hits the entire field, healing circle & Brave Vesperia!!! But you can't count Kratos' Shining Bind as inferior to BV!!! Plus, they're both optional but to get the best weapons in the game, RWO becomes manditory and to unlock 200 man melee, Kratos becomes manditory!

Wow. Awesome fight! Even though you can do near-infinite/infinite combos that massacre his HP, this fight still looks quite difficult [in the 'wow, that looks like fun' sense]. I like their rendition of Shining Bind in this game, too. ...Is it only me, though, or does Kratos's sprite look awkward? Something about it seems a little out of proportion. Perhaps it's that I'm used to the ToS one? I don't know. Anyway, I reiterate: Awesome.
its not me, its the dungeon. Seriouslly with the 10x exp I bought for my fast second playthrough you will be in 200 in no time. I entered here in Lv 110... 4-5 hours later I was already in 200 and with just 12 Fake Gald (you need 15), so until I got the 15 I can say that I would have been 250 if 200 wasn't the max level XD lol
though that wouldn't make sense then because when your saying goodbye to everyone before going into the final dungeon on a second play through kratos is talking to yuan and the tree from derris kharlan
He is going into over limit by the Tension skills (there are three of them, and they all come together with a certain sub-weapon for Yuri). The barrier would be glory which you get from the Last Fencer weapon.

So NP got the info wrong then as Kratos DOES appear in the game to speak with Yuan. And it wasn't a flashback scene as if it was it would've been in Black and White, which it wasn't.
After Zaude, go to Torim to find them. Head to the Mt Temza for the key item then go back to where you fought the first boss in Zaude. You will fight them. Make sure you steal from both and you will a strong bow for Raven, Divine Cannon.

I know. I think it changed after Tales of Symponia, because I remember 120k was Abyssion's HP, which would be something like 240k on Mania mode...and he was the toughest boss period.
You gotta have finished the game. Not exactly sure how to do it on 2nd playthrough but you can go to it after you've finished the game on continue. You need at least 5 million gald and 15 fake gald pieces to make it to kratos and fake gald drops randomly. So it's gonna take you a few trips through the dungeon.
@ZeMightyMoose If Kratos wore his angel clothes, this would instantly and permanently be my favorite boss fight. Itd look especially great with shining bind.

You're probably right, I played ToPhantasia a long time ago but reemulated by dejap on zsnes and i was able to change their names. It was awesome!

Raven didn't had stop flow by that time, and Estelle is too slow to revive people IMO, life bottles are faster.
