Underrated, versatile, spectacular, one a kind sounding vocalist, one of the best singers of our time no doubt, one of the best ever I would venture to say.
She is phenomenally gifted and talented and yes she can yodel. I could listen to her sing all day, she just has an amazing quality and tone to her voice and she can sing multiple genres of music. You would be very pleasantly surprised!
She was amazing but the mask couldn't disguise that incredible voice and that almost yodel that comes out when she changes octaves. I heard it several times in this song.
She was around 14/15 here. This was her Disney concert. Trust, her voice is pure. I've been following her since day 1. Her music gets me through life. P.S. she is a yodel'r also.
Check out her a cappella version of Amazing Grace. She sang it in a church. She was very young in that on also. It is amazing. She does yodel very well. The song I want to be a cowboy sweetheart is the one I think she yodels in.
Her singing Amazon Grace in a church was from a show called Music in High Place and it is amazing...she did other songs of hers on the same show in Mexico... How Do I Live she sang in the Centoe is a must watch.
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 She’s one of my favorite living singers. So so good. I got to hear her live a few years ago and I absolutely loved it. She really surprised me with her cover of The Story.
I have to thank you for playing this recording. I have to admit that I was skeptical that anyone could adequately cover the righteous Brothers version of this great song. I was not familiar with Leann as I do not follow or personally care for most country music. I also was astonished at her vocal skills, she hits the highs as well as I have heard it done and carries the rest of the song beautifully. She has now become one of the few country investor artists that I intend to listen to more along with the likes of Crystal Gayle, Dolly Parton and a few others.
Her voice is just one of the best, and she did incorporate a country sound. Didn't you hear that beautiful steel guitar? Her first song Blue was a huge hit. She was like 13 or 14 yrs old. That's a must listen song!! Also, her song How Do I Live Without You. She has many more but she was a teenager on those 2.
Listen to her Masked Singer performances... and "Throw My Arms Around the World". All the respect in the world to LeAnn Rimes because she turned her back on fame for love. Lived life her way. She's the most underrated voice in music as far as I'm concerned.
“Blue” (one of her earliest songs) “Commitment”, “Me & Bobby McGee”, “Surrender”, and “What I Cannot Change” … to mention just a few. You’re 💯% right when you speak of her flawless, clear vibrato!
She was 14 the first time she sang it and she won several awards for this song she won country she won a Grammy she won a American music award now if you want to see her when she came out at 13 look up the video Blue and she sounded alot older but was a 13 year young girl
I recommend her song Blue which was her first big hit. Then her song Can't Fight The Moonlight from the movie Coyote Ugly. She also had a big country hit with the song One Way Ticket. She had a country/pop crossover hit as well with How Do I Live Without You. She's such a talented singer and a blessing to country music.
This is amazing! Such a beautiful voice. So dynamic. And it has gotten better with age. If you haven't listened to Blue, you should. When it first came out, I played it for my mom and asked her who it was. She looked so confused, said 'that's Patsy Cline, but I never heard this song' Leann Rimes is an amazing vocalist, and a truly wonderful person. I know she got trashed by country music fans for the affair, but honestly she took a lot more heat for it than others in the industry for the exact same thing. Two people in unhappy relationships meet their soulmate... that's the kind of love story that books are written about. I'm sure it took them a while to get there, but Eddie's ex is Super supportive of Leann.
She sings the song, "Love Is An Army" live at the ACM Awards....from a handful of years ago..... and it's one of the best vocals I've ever heard. It's a very deep, emotional ballad that she manages to work in yodeling and it's out of this world. It shouldn't work but she makes it unbelievable and modern.
she originally recorded that at 14 ... and yes she can yodel ... her first hit Blue is where you can here her yodel ... she was the youngest winner of ACM New Artist award .. Her rendition of Prince's Purple Rain off the same album as Unchained Melody is Absolutely Amazing that's what you should listen to next
She also gave great and varied performances as The Sun while winning Season 4 of The Masker Singer. Great variation with skill in her voice and her early songs made her career. But her tribute to Patsy Cline songs at the AMA Honors also shows off the maturity in her voice and control. As far as yodeling, she can do that too. The song Blue has vocal changes that are similar to yodeling, but there are also videos of her singing Cowboy Sweetheart with yodeling, and she also sang a duet with country OG Eddy Arnold doing Cattle Call.
This was really nice. I’ve enjoyed Miss Rimes’ performances for years. If you’re looking for a more Country version of this song Home Free just released their version recently. I highly recommend checking it out.
I would say Mother or I Couldnt Do That To Me both are very recent, if not those something from an earlier album Purple Rain or The Heart Never Forgets. Her range is crazy in so many songs. Such an underrated artist.
she's always been an amazing singer! She was 14 when she came out with her first Hit song "Blue"...im not sure how old she is in this, she looks younger but regardless her vocals are awesome!
LeAnn is a true Musical Artist and is capable of doing Justice to any song she chooses to sing. She has been doing all since around the age of 5 and as she said on stage at one performance she is like a human Jute box, If she likes a song she will sing it.
She looked older for her age she looked 18 when she was 14. We are about a year in age apart I'm just a hair younger but I lit up the first time I seen her and heard her voice from that moment I was hooked lol you know kids. She was the youngest arrest to win female vocalists of the year I believe I know she shattered the awards with BLUE. She's absolutely amazing and still beautiful as ever. As to her age there she was 15 or 16 but her voice at 14 was still that clear just listen to (BLUE). It shows her vocal talents in her very first hit song at 14.
I have a signed Copy of Leanne singing Blue from when she was 15. I will always love it best and I am a bit sad she doesn’t use her voice that way a little now. This song got close though. Thank you
I read somewhere that she said she suffered a locked jaw while singing this song in this video & had to pop it back in after. If that's true that's just amazing she finished it without people noticing it.
Written for the 1955 movie. "UNCHAINED "about a man torn between finishing his sentence or escaping to be with his wife and family. Music by Alex North lyrics by Hy Zaret originally sung in the movie by Todd Duncan in 1955 three renditions were released Les Baxter, Al Hibbler and Roy Hamilton 1965 by the Righteous Brothers also by Jimmy Young and Liberace. And latest release from Home Free who pays to the movie. She does a fantastic job with this classic.
Critics gave her so much crap when she did this song saying things like "She's too young to even know what this song means". She is an entertainer and did the song a lot of credit for how young she was at the time.
I've seen Leann Rimes a couple times. The first time was at a chili cook-off in South Florida when she was around this age. It was either 1996 or 1997. It was headlined by Alabama she was the second act I believe. I saw her again many years later with my wife at Wild Adventures in Valdosta, Georgia. Great performances both times.
Wow How I remember this young lady She's well into her 30's now! She blew us away with "BLUE" !!!!!! We were all dumbfounded LOLLLL Gorgeous Voice .... She sings but her "Affair" Country Music Folks / Singers / Entertainers just pretty much pushed her out of the scene SAD We all make mistakes
Country music folks still love her! They would love for her to be #1 hits again and on cm radio, an affair didnt have anything to do with it! Who hasnt cheated artists in country music Men or Women has, so what! she started so young she burnt out and was under a label a contract til a few years ago it expired,, I think she would rather the pop rock type but i love country either way shes a beautiful amazingly wonderfully talented for sure thats no debating

Listen to Carrie Underwood with Vince Gill and she’s singing How Great Thou Are! I had chill bumps all the way through that song. Oh look for the live video. I think it’s an awards show or something like that but it’s awesome! I couldn’t help it but I cried while listening to her sing that song.

@@Leelee-op7vj yes she can💕 she is exceptionally gifted
She was very young when she started singing, she has the voice of an angel
One of the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard... she was so young when she sang that.
She’s absolutely amazing, my favorite female singer of all times!
Yep, about 14. I remember seeing this performance when I was still little. Beautiful. 💕
Love me some LeAnn!! She won the Masked singer a couple yrs ago… Was nice to see her come out and show case her voice:)
Yes! Her masked self was “THE SUN”…you should take a listen!
She was amazing but the mask couldn't disguise that incredible voice and that almost yodel that comes out when she changes octaves. I heard it several times in this song.
Her rendition of "Piece of my heart" blew me away.
She impressed them all and in many cases, improved on the original recording
I enjoyed watching your reactions to her sing as well as pointing out what makes her singing so good. Love your channel and insights.
Your facial expressions while she is singing are priceless!! Haha. Love it!
And I appreciate his appreciation of her transitions.
One of the great female artists singing the greatest "miss you" song ever written. Beautiful.
LeAnn started singing when she was 14 and had a hit in this song...BLUE where she does some yodeling or slide. She can sing anything...a great voice!
No idea how one would prove this or quantify this but Rimes has to be one of the greatest singers/vocalists of all time.
I agree. The greatest!
I listened to her on repeat for years!
She is one of our most underrated singers .

I have loved this girl since I saw her on star search at seven or eight, as I have said before, this lady can sing anything
Imo, one of the greatest voices in history! She was singing like that at like 12 years old. Incredible!!

"How Do I Live" really captures the uniqueness of her vocals.
