To be fair, i have none of those things and I'd die from a 60 hour week. But I see what you mean, his conditions aren't an excuse not to to minimum work.
I mean, the meaningful comparison is high functioning Autism, because realistically, that's the only thing affecting him. His mental break doesn't need to be caused by some type of BPD or similar thing. In all likelihood, it's really just an excuse, and he's scrambling to find something to cling to, as his world is crumbling around him, and he got lazy about it. My mind was really blown away from some of the shit he's said here.
Now, you really work a 60 hour work week? Even just a normal person would never fucking accept a work life balance like that. So, I'm assuming you either make fuckloads of money, and it's on a monthly/need basis, because a normal work week is around 37 hours a week, depending on what type of work it is, to go from 37 to 60 means full days on fridays and saturdays. This is an insane Japanese style work life balance kind of life.
Or maybe, you're calculating habitual overtime, and extra "black" money, as in money that the state doesn't know you're earning. Cash, basically.
It's entirely possible you're telling the truth, but I feel like a lot of context is missing, and the severity of your narcolepsy and depressive schizoaffective disorder are maybe not that invasive. Granted, I don't know much about either of those specifically, except for the fact that narcoleptics have trouble staying awake, and can randomly fall asleep, and schizophrenics can have different kind of hallucinations that they can't distinguish from reality. I'm aware that general schizophrenics can have like dogs help them distinguish hallucination from reality, or that there's certain kinds of tells that hallucinations will have. Normally, having been diagnosed with just about anything, it'd be because an aspect of your daily life is noticeably affected, so just based on pure definition and math, having 3 diagnosis, but then not only working normally, but over and above what anyone else would do. I think it's def possible, but the reason as to why is something I'd like to know.

I worked at a hotel as an event waiter and had a waitress tell me she couldn’t bring out the plates because of her anxiety disorder supposedly flaring up that day as if it works the same as having Eczema.
One of few times I couldn’t catch my jaw before it hit the floor. Imagine a housekeeping maid with a germ phobia that prevents them from cleaning. It was a Nepo hire of course, Boss’s friend, so my boss ended up doing it for them that day. Told my boss I needed a raise after that one and got it no contest when my review came up a few months later lol. She never showed up less than 15 mins late, and always had a “stress” or “mental health” related card to play.

But "flare up" is not really what most people would call that, it feels like a heart attack, and that the world is closing in on you.

It really isn’t the monumental task people looking for socially acceptable ways to excuse lazy behavior make it out to be the same way bed blobs make up hyperbolic reasons not to hit the gym.
IMO using a condition as an excuse proves beyond a doubt you’d rather rely on the sympathy of others to get by in your day to day life than do the bare minimum to sustain that shred of dignity and privacy you have left.

Yeah, I think Bowblax's fundamental character flaw is his inability to take an L. He's never able to wholeheartedly admit that he's fucked up, even when the evidence is right in front of him and undeniable. You can hear him coming up with excuses in real time when he's pressed on things that he knows he has no good answer to. He thinks that if people could see things from his perspective they'd understand and forgive him, but he's completely unable to see anything else from any perspective other than his own due to his self-centeredness, so in his mind he's a defenseless victim who has been wronged by everyone around him, totally incapable of understanding how his actions are felt by others.
Bowblax had the audacity to deem himself a figurehead of the commentary community when he should have known his place and read tweets for thousands of Canadian fun bucks

Meds are not going to change your personality. If you have bpd, Seroquel is not going to fix that. It’s a mood stabilizer and will help with mania, but mania is a symptom of plenty of mental health conditions, bipolar being the most frequent.
More than that though, bowblax says he has an autism and ADHD diagnosis, and ALL symptoms of bpd can be attributed to one of those two, and if he was given a mood stabilizer, then he probably has bipolar, or maybe a medication for adhd or autism caused the manic episode.
Being diagnosed with a personality disorder takes weeks. The criteria for BPD especially is extremely specific and if you don’t match even one of them, you don’t have it. Bowblax does not have BPD, he has autism.

Borderline Personality Disorder isn't something that's going to suddenly start presenting in your late 20s. The medication he was prescribed 2 months ago obviously isn’t working, because he's managed to completely incinerated his life! He needs to go to an in-patient program, get on the right meds, and hope there's something to save when he gets back.

Additionally mania can occur in a variety of disorders and also as a result of drug intoxication, hyperthyroidism, extreme stress, etc. Autistic adults frequently get misdiagnosed with bpd because many of the manifestations can be similar. Medicine is complicated, people are complicated.
It does sound very complicated and it stinks when people overly simplify it.
Manic episodes can also be caused by ADHD and from the meds for ADHD which Bowblax has admitted to be diagnosed with, it doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't have BPD but it also doesn't exclude the fact that he doesn't have it either .... We won't know for sure untill he gets a diagnosis by professionals and not self diagnosed

I think parts of it were valid. I do feel like Josh is trying to make things right, mostly for selfish reasons. 3v1 is never fair.
