Some DBD members helped the company to make the game,but they updated it because it's too brutal like DBD,so they make it like for kids too because maybe many DBD fans will say they copyrighted the game,and my choice if I'll play DBD or IDNTY V,its because DBD had -bad controls and- pro players that makes people angry,but in IDNTY V,it has a easy control movement but the hunter doesn't had a 1st person view like DBD,because..ya know,maybe DBD fans will say copyright.and had a half chance to win from the hunter or no,some of match making had bots like walking straight and the A.I.(aka artificial intelligence) hunter is ez to ran away from it.the bad news from DBD,its because it has so many bugs(no terrifying pun intended) and glitches,and...the bad news for IDNTY V is that you can play with bots which is like 75% boring and 25% enjoyable to play.
The problem is that if there were a version of teens and a version of kids probably many kids would enter the teen mode and get nightmares and also the teens could enter the kid mode to troll or something like that so it’s a bad idea

But for me the main appeal of this is not the scare factor, but rather the fun in the game and strategy hence why I like the "cuter" design better. Plus it's actually quiet stylish! And let's be real. A clown with a rocket is just as scary as a clown with a chainsaw.
I sorta like the new version more. I kinda like the cartoony look of it now and it still has an uneasy feel to it. It also feels a lot like it's own game now and less like a dbd ripoff.

Things you missed/ I would like to add. 1. Many of the Hunter's original skins wear masks now, Hell Ember, Smiley Face, Ripper, SoulWeaver 2. You can still see the old weapons in HellEmber and Smiley Face's Graffiti 3. Hell Ember still use the old After attack animation, which he rubs the blood from his sickle ( GameKeeper also use the same template ) 4. Smiley Face's Visit standby motion is still him playing with the chainsaw animation ( plus his voice imitating a saw ) 5. The picture of Gardener's Confidence trait ( sits longer in the chair ) still uses the picture of the old Hanging machine. ( it's not a hair dryer) 6. When you're incapacitated or sitting on a chair. It used to have the animation for ghost hands coming up from the ground. Now it's a rabbit doll and gray thorny vines. 7. The sound for getting hit was changed to a BOINK with flying confettis
I like everything new they add to this game. It’s becoming really big in my opinion. The lag annoys me but it’s not often. They’re making more scary killers n so many survivors plebs so I like. This game has permanent download on my phone.

I really like the old version more. The dark atmosphere and even the hanging elimination, and the more hardcore weapons made it really feel like a horror game. I wish they'd bring it back.
I think I actually prefer the old version as it's supposed to be a horror game. Plus the smiley face looks amazing! I want them to go back to the old version except keep the newer heart icon.
One thing I've noticed changed between the beta and the newer version is the masks the killers, Hell ember, ripper, clown, and soul weaver, wear in the newer version compared to the older version. This is also seen when picking a recolor of the original skin. It's a nice touch to show a bit of the beta in the actual game.
The 8ld version looks more like DBD, which Behaviour (the studio if DBD) is helping Identity V. Smiley Face is like the Hillbilly in DBD and the Hillbilly has like a modified hammer, and a chainsaw

I feel like now it is more of a reconstruction. I feel like it is the detective with some team actualy reconstructing the whole situation. Also, for me, the FamilyFriendly version looks kinda cute, but when you realise that the smiley face is wearing a mask (default skin) and his neck is doing that weird snap-ish thing, it looks like they are some psychos. And that can be even creepier with that cute innocent stuff.

Honestly I find a rocket chair more brutal than a noose... Strapped down with barbed wire guaranteeing cuts even if you escape and if you don't you're flung into the air and eventually blown up, if that doesn't kill you then the fall surely will. Much worse than being hung imo.

Ink Runner light sorry but I have to disagree with you cause it is a horror game not clown game considering the Dev working with DBD they need add more persona like Decisive Strike,Self Care,and Sprint Burst(only true DBD fan know what I mean) and add a theme family setting and BLOODY GORE MODE
I wish they had kept some of the horror elements from the old version, like the atmosphere, survivors actually screaming in pain when they are hit/caught by the hunter instead of moaning, as well as how the hunter catches the survivors by either dragging them on the floor or carrying them over their shoulder. I think those would have been fine to keep in the game in my opinion, or as a lot of other people been mentioning, bringing back some of the old features as a Halloween event, that would be pretty cool. Still really interesting to see how much more similar this game was to Dead by Daylight than it is now! :)
The old version is soooo much better than the new version. The atmosphere or ambience of the maps was actually one of the things that I suggested they change so it becomes harder for hunters to find survivors and survivors to find ciphers and each other. The old version though is almost the exact same thing as Behavior Interactive Dead By Daylight so I guess that to make the game it’s own game instead of a straight copy they decided to change the things that were similar. I feel that if they could they could put it in the settings so that they could change how it looks or maybe make it like a mode like 8v2 is going to be like. They change the noose I feel because they look just like the hooks in dead by daylight. Same with carrying the survivors and stuff like that. Dead by daylight did help them make this game though. The only time I was actually scared while playing the new version was during the prolog or whatever. "Is there going to be jumpscare? Oh no, the door is locked. What the hell is going on?" Now its like "Oh, Geisha. Im gonna kms. Oh, Spider. Lemme just leave real quick."
I believe parts of the old version still linger in the game today, though very subtle. Recall the loading screen: it consists of a survivor running away from the hunter carrying a *HOOK* in circles. I always thought it a bit strange why it would be a hook instead of say, a shark, yet now it all makes perfect sense. ... _They should really update that._

I feel like now it is more of a reconstruction. I feel like it is the detective with some team actualy reconstructing the whole situation. Also, for me, the FamilyFriendly version looks kinda cute, but when you realise that the smiley face is wearing a mask (default skin) and his neck is doing that weird snap-ish thing, it looks like they are some psychos. And that can be even creepier with that cute innocent stuff.

The old crawl motion: When Mechanic's doll get hit it crawls like that
The carrying motion: With the accesory, Smiley face carries survivors like that
The red heart: Mind's eye, when Being chased her heart looks like that
The Smiley face: Other Skins still have that face
Smiley breaking pallets With Dash: Actually, can break The pallets dashing

Honestly I find a rocket chair more brutal than a noose... Strapped down with barbed wire guaranteeing cuts even if you escape and if you don't you're flung into the air and eventually blown up, if that doesn't kill you then the fall surely will. Much worse than being hung imo.

I wish they had kept some of the horror elements from the old version, like the atmosphere, survivors actually screaming in pain when they are hit/caught by the hunter instead of moaning, as well as how the hunter catches the survivors by either dragging them on the floor or carrying them over their shoulder. I think those would have been fine to keep in the game in my opinion, or as a lot of other people been mentioning, bringing back some of the old features as a Halloween event, that would be pretty cool. Still really interesting to see how much more similar this game was to Dead by Daylight than it is now! :)

The old version is soooo much better than the new version. The atmosphere or ambience of the maps was actually one of the things that I suggested they change so it becomes harder for hunters to find survivors and survivors to find ciphers and each other. The old version though is almost the exact same thing as Behavior Interactive Dead By Daylight so I guess that to make the game it’s own game instead of a straight copy they decided to change the things that were similar. I feel that if they could they could put it in the settings so that they could change how it looks or maybe make it like a mode like 8v2 is going to be like. Anyways those are my thoughts I really enjoyed this video Grizzly keep up this great work ❤️

I like the version we have, its funny and can be cute and dark at the same time. It just goes better with the style of charaters we have in the game.

They change the noose I feel because they look just like the hooks in dead by daylight. Same with carrying the survivors and stuff like that. Dead by daylight did help them make this game though. So I don’t think it was for legal reasons as much as it rubbing people who didn’t know dbd helped them the wrong way. Also so kids could play. Im sure that’s the main reason. I like the old clown so much better! And the old atmosphere.

The only time I was actually scared while playing the new version was during the prolog or whatever. "Is there going to be jumpscare? Oh no, the door is locked. What the hell is going on?" Now its like "Oh, Geisha. Im gonna kms. Oh, Spider. Lemme just leave real quick."

I believe parts of the old version still linger in the game today, though very subtle. Recall the loading screen: it consists of a survivor running away from the hunter carrying a *HOOK* in circles. I always thought it a bit strange why it would be a hook instead of say, a shark, yet now it all makes perfect sense.

But Unfortunately, China government dont allow the older version because it is too scary for a mobile game. So the official changed that.

Old version is very scary and clown very scary and even this creepy motor saw and all the hanging on these ropes compared to the rocket chairs is very scary
