    Generally it is a bad idea to buy an appliance package. Doing so almost always ensures you get one or maybe two good appliances and a bunch of mediocre ones. Sure they may look slightly more uniform but what's the point if they don't effectively fulfill their central function. Nearly al manufacturers do somethings really well and many others poorly. Bosch makes great dishwashers and induction cookers but their gas ranges are poor as were their refrigerators until very recently. Buy the best of each appliance that fits within your budget. I bought a Bluestar range, Miele dishwasher, and a GE Cafe refrigerator. They all look great together and all do a very good job at their core function.

      I disagree. We got an unbelievable pkg deal on all high end Jennair appliances for our kitchen total redo. It's been 2 years and are still very pleased.

      My OCD would never allow me to have different appliances. I am more comfortable when everything matches.

      It really depends on the brand. My friend's kitchen is all Wolf/Subzero/Cove and he loves it.

    Quality and function are more important than looks. After a thorough investigation into the appliances you need; pick the best ones within your budget. Then ask for a package price from the retailer. You may buy a new set of kitchen appliances (fridge, range, dishwasher, freezer, microwave) from different manufacturers, but you select your quality with a discount price.

      This is exactly what I was about to reply. No one manufacturer does everything well. When I built my new house I checked the ratings of the various appliances and chose the brands that were most reliable and functioned best for my purposes. I presented the list to my local appliance store and they applied a significant discount to the package. The only concession to appearance was that I chose Maytag for both the washer and dryer, since they would sit side-by-side.

    Any suggestions on where to buy the appliances from? Home Depot or Lowes or directly the manufacturer?

      We always recommend purchasing from a dealer who handles their own service if possible.

    With the shortages of some appliance brands during the pandemic do you think package incentives will still be offered this year. I appreciate knowing "when to buy". I am ready but will wait until Memorial Day if you think it will still be beneficial. Thanks.

    • @YaleAppliance1
      @YaleAppliance1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We expect that to vary greatly from brand to brand. Manufacturers are having a hard time producing/shipping product still so have no large incentive to offer discounts. We're hoping this starts to shift by the end of the year. If you have time and don't need your appliances immediately, you're in a better place and can hope to take advantages of package promotions. If you need products urgently you may be in a tougher spot in the short term. Good luck!
