It is indeed. David Bowie identified as a gay cross dresser when 18 years old. And David Bowies bisexual identity was completely rejected because it didn’t conveniently fit into the gay narrative. An adult person who lives a rigid gender stereotype is not an example of adult health and maturity. What transition encourages is identity foreclosures at a very early age rather than ongoing identity development and more complex identity schemas. It pretends that a „cis gender“ stereotype is the goal when it should not be.
