Sometimes it seems like the best jazzers are playing for themselves and we are just privileged to listen in. Love this young woman and her cast of jazzbos. The bass is inventive in his solo, the drummer adept in his turn and that female on piano....wow.....this is slow burn jazz. Watch as the heat gets turned up...bravo
Robert Hunniecutt: in jazz, so much depends on the interplay and the ability to stimulate, to push the tune onward. She reminds me a lot of Sonny Rollins, her way with the choruses...seriously good sax and fine band. Only just discovered her and Senri Kawaguchi...wow...
This is absolutely delightful Jazz! This quartet is in support of one another, yet each soloist is a great artist by him/herself. I naturally like Yucco Miller's playing of the alto sax in which she displays great imagination in her improvisations but I am also in awe over the Jazz-art of the young, female pianist; she seems to read the harmonies of the piece for guidance and then just simply "explodes" in her rendition of the musical theme. I also congratulate all the other young Jazz artists from the bottom of my heart and wish them the best of luck in their musical careers. - - - Dear Yucco Miller, can you please put many more of your fine performances on YOU TUBE please? I am looking forward to more music from you and your quartet.
Your saxophone playing reminds me of John Coltrane or Cannonball adderley. Paradoxically speaking, I can say you have been seriously receiving their music and its technique. Moreover, you are going to develop their musicality. Anyway, thank you for your enjoyable tune. galwayera from Tokyo.
