Just a tip for some people from a louisianian: brown a pound of jimmy dean breakfast sausage and sauté your veggies in the grease from that instead of the butter…(add the sausage back to the dressing when you mix it too)… and add you lump crab meat last and gently stir it so that it still has some of its texture…… everything else he did was spot on except for the garlic… we never add garlic to dressing… just the trinity… unless you’re creole lol… but this is a 🔥🔥🔥 recipe
Seafood stock, please! I love all of your meals. Have your cookbooks both paper and digital so i can travel to family light and prepared! Thank you for sharing your love of good, authentic food
My friend made this recipe for my Friendsgiving exactly like he did, without the crawfish, and it was amazing! I’m making it for Thanksgiving for my family.
❤ Hello hope you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving I fixed it putting it in the oven can't wait to see the results but I did try it already it great flavor but I can't wait I know it's gonna be Outstanding 😊
They actually sell seafood stock in the supermarket. I’ve made my own a few times with lobster shell and shrimp shells but it was too labor intensive. Now I just buy the pre-made stuff
We always use red, organic or yellow for Seafood dressing! So the ones allergic to seafood will be easy to tell which one not to touch. Got a couple of those in the family!

Hello. I’m very new to your channel.. I don’t like cornbread dressing so I was wondering if you could do a Seafood dressing with bread before Thanksgiving. Thanks & God blesd
somebody else did one ( I think Mr Make It Happen) , he just used regular stuffing mix instead of cornbread. You'd probably have to adjust the salt (if you use this recipe) because regular stuffing is already salty, but it looked good
So just curious, would this by chance taste something similar to crab cakes? It doesn't sound like a bad creation. I think I would just add most of the ingredients from gumbo and make a dressing, no rice though. Chicken, sausage, shrimp, crab, okra, holy trinity, maybe stewed tomatoes, cream of mushroom, stock, and season to flavor. What do you guys think?

My grandma used to heat the pan in the oven so that cornbread be crispy around the edges

I would beat the eggs in a separate bowl and then put them in the bowl. This makes sure the eggs are good and that they go throughout the dressing.
This looks so good I have to try it. Thanks for sharing.

Is omitting eggs a deal breaker, will it affect the taste? I'm allergic to eggs.
Do you wash the crawfish
