nice job .. love the setup.. u just need need PTFE tubing from the wallmounted containers to the AMS that wil guide the filament.. so it wont matter if the box is far away or not.. and regarding the poop.. you can slide the trashbin under your desk between the two printers. and print a small slide for both printer to guide the poop directly into the trash..
Thanks! I love this setup too! If you were to put ptfe tubes from box to unit when it retracts it might push filament back into the box. with the way it is the filament just sags a little when retracted. As far as the poop... Yea I have a bin I put there I was just being silly and sweeping poop for the viral video views! lmao jk
Excellent. May have it build this. I thought we needed the spool holders that automatically spin backwards a little when slightly turned for retraction. Guess the ams head has the motors I’m thinking we’re in the spool holders (where I thought it was just a spring) Thank you for posting this!
I already have my filament dry box situation sorted out, but do you have more info or a link to how you did your AMS lite mod? I'd like to add that to one of my A1s. I like how easy it would be to load and unload filaments from the rack behind my printers.
@@contactXYZQT Awesome, thank you so much! Seems like a simple mod and someone in the comments even figured out how to make the spool order go from 1-4 left to right with a cable swap. Starting this mod up right away. 🍻
absolutely! You could definitely have it setup for quick manual swaps with no ams lite if that's what you are asking. Also, I was running sunlu s4 into the ams lite stock spool holder on a vertical stand before I made the dry boxes. So could do dry boxes to the ams lite on a vertical stand but then you are taking up so much table space. Please let me know if this answers your question or if you're wanting to know something else. Thanks for checking it out!
This is the best looking DIY version Ive seen on YT/Reddit so far, looks really clean and fits the minimalistic style of the A1 👍
TYVM!
Love the ingenuity on this! Great job!
TYVM!
Love the idea, now make it retract so it can be used for multicolor painting.
Thanks! This is the AMS Lite and it is set up to do 4 colors with its auto retracting / swapping. Cheers!

Love the opening!
Do you find the retraction working without the ”active” ams springs helping rewind the spool during changes?
hahaha thanks! This is the AMS Lite. So retraction works just fine no problem with this setup!

@@benjydog83 You got it boss! There are breakdown videos of the AMS Lite. It's not complicated at all. Thanks for the feedback!

AMS Lite Feeder Compacted mod. I love the usability of this setup!

@@NWGR super easy! you will love the setup!
The link in the description is not complete- can you at least give the name so I can find it on maker world? - thanks
Thank you for letting me know! Just updated.
Love the entrance bro. Haha!
hahaha thanks!
If I don't have the AMS lite on top of the A1, would the design work?
