We will be like Mexico up to the present. We have the same culture with the Mexicans. The Philippines will never be a stabled country, because most of the people or majority are Natives and does not have a National Identity. I agree that Mindanao and Palawan will never be part of the Philippines. However on the 1880s there will be a possibilty that the Philippines will become unstable and will be revolts because of the Spanish culutral influences of nobility or by haciendas. By 1890s there is a possibility that we will be invaded by Germany. There was also a possibiliy thay we will be invaded by the Japanese or by the Americans because these two countries were the rising power at the end of the 19th century.

The Rich filipino business men admired the Germans. They wanted the filipinos to become a german/prussian colony. If history plays out the same with the exception that germany colonizes the philippines and not the US it would be possibly a fruitful but brutal one. I will explain. Filipinos wanted to inherit the german culture and traditions such as being work efficient and being innovative. But the problem is germany's stay in the philippines would have been a short one. Since they lost world war 1 and the triple entente colonized all of their territories in Africa while Imperial Japan was an enemy of germany during that time colonized Germany's territories in the pacific. Meaning by 1918 there would be a high chance that we would have been a Japanese colony which is not good. Imagined the massacres and rape of world war 2 but earlier and longer. The philippines would have been like korea and manchuria. There is also a possibility that We became a colony of the US( what goes around comes around). However if history does not play out the same and everything goes well such as no world war 2 or world war 1 the Philippines would have been a country full of german culture. Filipinos might inherit the work ethics and efficiency of the germans. Filipino traits such as filipino time and ciesta would have been eliminated since the germans despise lazyness. Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, and Singapore are "beautiful" countries and they are doing very well because they inherit the parliamentary system specifically the Westminster system from the British Empire coupled with neoliberal economic reforms (capitalism, free market, free trade) which are implemented by famous prime ministers like Mahathir Mohamad and Lee Kuan Yew. Parliamentary system can be divided into two, parliamentary republics like Singapore and constitutional monarchies like Australia, Malaysia (elective), and New Zealand. If the Kingdom of the Philippines becomes a constitutional monarchy in 1823, we could be in the same position as Scandinavian monarchies like Denmark, Norway, and Sweden who have elements of Nordic model or social democracy or welfare state because those countries actually "democratize" their monarchy in the 1800s although in a peaceful way unlike Britain who beheaded first Charles I and ousted James II before becoming a constitutional monarchy in 1688. Take note that Scandinavian countries didn't build their wealth from colonial exploitation but thru heavily regulated capitalism. So if the Philippines becomes a constitutional monarchy the same time as Scandinavian monarchies, we could also do what Scandinavians benefit today but with a bonus because we have Manila as trade port in Southeast Asia, foreign military bases would also help because they will bring foreign investments to the country (just look at Spain during Francisco Franco).

The Philippines will never be a stabled country, because most of the people or majority are Natives and does not have a National Identity. I agree that Mindanao and Palawan will never be part of the Philippines. However on the 1880s there will be a possibilty that the Philippines will become unstable and will be revolts because of the Spanish culutral influences of nobility or by haciendas. By 1890s there is a possibility that we will be invaded by Germany. There was also a possibiliy thay we will be invaded by the Japanese or by the Americans because these two countries were the rising power at the end of the 19th century.

The Rich filipino business men admired the Germans. They wanted the filipinos to become a german/prussian colony. If history plays out the same with the exception that germany colonizes the philippines and not the US it would be possibly a fruitful but brutal one. I will explain. Filipinos wanted to inherit the german culture and traditions such as being work efficient and being innovative. But the problem is germany's stay in the philippines would have been a short one. Since they lost world war 1 and the triple entente colonized all of their territories in Africa while Imperial Japan was an enemy of germany during that time colonized Germany's territories in the pacific. Meaning by 1918 there would be a high chance that we would have been a Japanese colony which is not good. Imagined the massacres and rape of world war 2 but earlier and longer. The philippines would have been like korea and manchuria. There is also a possibility that We became a colony of the US( what goes around comes around). However if history does not play out the same and everything goes well such as no world war 2 or world war 1 the Philippines would have been a country full of german culture. Filipinos might inherit the work ethics and efficiency of the germans. Filipino traits such as filipino time and ciesta would have been eliminated since the germans despise lazyness. There is also a possibility that we would have a strong military due to prussian traditions. And when it comes to religion there would be a larger amount of protestant population. I just generally think it would have been bettet if we were a german colony. Not saying it would be perfect for sure there would still be brutal acts and racism. But we might have been a very progressive nation.

Parliamentary system can be divided into two, parliamentary republics like Singapore and constitutional monarchies like Australia, Malaysia (elective), and New Zealand. If the Kingdom of the Philippines becomes a constitutional monarchy in 1823, we could be in the same position as Scandinavian monarchies like Denmark, Norway, and Sweden who have elements of Nordic model or social democracy or welfare state because those countries actually "democratize" their monarchy in the 1800s although in a peaceful way unlike Britain who beheaded first Charles I and ousted James II before becoming a constitutional monarchy in 1688. Take note that Scandinavian countries didn't build their wealth from colonial exploitation but thru heavily regulated capitalism. So if the Philippines becomes a constitutional monarchy the same time as Scandinavian monarchies, we could also do what Scandinavians benefit today but with a bonus because we have Manila as trade port in Southeast Asia, foreign military bases would also help because they will bring foreign investments to the country (just look at Spain during Francisco Franco).

Philippine Empire? The Filipinos were never united before Spain and even during Spanish rule. That's why Filipinos fought against Filipinos during the Spanish-Filipino war. It was only during the American rule that Philippines was united when the Americans designed the Philippine as a government. Under Spain Philippines was just a source or resources and a trading post. So there's no sense of being a Filipino nation under Spain. If there would have been a Philippine Empire, according to this video, then it will only be limited to the Tagalog regions. And I don't think that the Visayan and Mindanao people will recognize Tagalog authority. And even the Ilocos region will fight off Tagalog authority as well.

Our Filipino healthcare workers are the second, second to Indian IT workers, highest paying jobs in the US. In the middle east our engineers and construction wotkers are most sought workers. Our seaman group is the second largest among seafaring nationalities. Philippine economy is kept afloat by remittance of our ofws, just like Spanish empire was kept afloat by the remittances from colonies.
Maybe, our labor policy can be described as Imperial Labor Policy in nature as our workers invade almost all big economies in the world. Our workers grabbed works from citizen of nation where they are working. Our labor sector is geared towards global that some leaders of orher nations eat food cook by Filipino Chef.
