Bill Irwin! I saw his solo "On Beckett" stage production at Irish Rep Theatre in NYC, this summer. He's a truly superb stage actor (and seemed to be a kind and very down to earth human, too.) I'm more likely to give a chance to something he's in, even though this doesn't really look like the kind of film I'd normally choose to see. I'm not a fan of romance as a film genre (any kind of romance story, really) unless it does something interesting and truly unexpected with the genre format. However, Bill Irwin is such an intelligent and discerning actor that his presence in a project gives me more hope that it'll be of quality.
This trailer and it’s spirit looks awesome… I just don’t know if it’s because the people who did cut that peace so well and gave that special note of tension to the actors, play , and the whole rest.. Or because not just the promising 1;56 min , but all of it will turn out as absolutely stunning collaboration loaded with masses of talent of everyone who will be a part of it , but would never rich this theatrical level if just only one single person was missing in the entire production cast.. let’s hope the best and see if that kind of a spirit what flys with us during the 1:56 min can balance it thru the entire rest “ without loosing that catchy and special atmosphere“ from the 1st to the last minute!! Would love that. I think those who created this short awesome peace of art deserve the entire rest of the crew to follow them to catch the big applause on the talent by the end ….. good luck guys and don’t fuck it up !! 🫵🏻 👍🏻 my fingers are crossed 🤞🏻 .. 😊

["O Diário Secreto de R.", in in the original Brazilian Portuguese with no subtitles] with a gay theme, when he was only 17 years old, since the film was made and released in 2005. Pigossi is exuberantly handsome and really gorgeous in the film that it is freely available both here on TH-cam (divided into two parts of six and a half minutes each, but in full) and on Vimeo (this one in a single part and with better video quality). Just search for the name of the film on Google. I swear, this film is worth watching.

But to pretend on screen that that's not the reality in real life isn't doing us any favors. I haven't watched many "gay interest" movies in my life, but the few that I've watched didn't stereotype about promiscuity (The Falls, God's Own Country, Moonlight), so they're out there.
